It’s ease of use this is my first interface and it didn’t take an encyclopedia to get it to work! And to be able to run it through my IPad is Awesome to say the least! Right at the moment I cannot give you a complaint! So 5 stars it’s gonna be!

Fantastic plug and play interface - works well with Cubasis!
Over the years, the Focusrite iTrack Solo Lightning Audio Interface has emerged as a leading solution for recording instruments and vocals on your iPad, Mac, or PC. This versatile device boasts a Focusrite microphone pre-amplifier and an input for direct recording from electric and bass guitars, making it an ideal accessory to enhance your iPad's audio capabilities. Whether you're using Garageband or any other music-making app, this device delivers superior performance.
As an Apple-certified "Made for iPad" device, the iTrack Solo ensures seamless compatibility with your iPad, Mac, or PC. It comes bundled with a host of free music-making software, including Ableton Live Lite and the Focusrite Scarlett Plug-in Suite, providing you with a comprehensive toolkit for your audio projects.
The iTrack Solo is designed for easy setup. Simply connect it to a power supply and your iPad, and you're ready to start recording. Encased in a rugged aluminum unibody chassis, this device is built to capture and playback your sound with pristine quality.
The front panel features an input for a microphone and an instrument, such as an electric guitar or bass guitar. This makes the iTrack Solo perfect for capturing the output of a microphone or using an electric guitar with one of the many guitar amp applications on iPad.
Unique signal halos provide visual feedback on your audio level for recording. Green indicates a good audio level, while red signifies that your audio is too loud, prompting you to adjust the level control.
With over 25 years of experience in the professional audio field, Focusrite has become a trusted name among leading artists, recording studios, and engineers worldwide. Now, you can experience the same quality on your iPad or computer with the iTrack Solo.
The device features premium quality audio outputs, allowing you to connect to Hi-Fi, speaker systems, or headphones. It is powered by the included USB cable, which delivers the necessary power to run the iTrack's high-specification components.
The iTrack Solo comes with a high-quality mic preamp, the same design used in the Scarlett and Saffire audio interface ranges. With a dynamic range of over 105dB, your music will sound amazing going out of the iTrack Solo's professional digital to analogue conversion.
The device also features a direct monitor function, allowing you to hear what you are recording through your speakers or headphones, without the signal having to go through your iPad or Mac / PC. This avoids the possibility of "latency" or time delay, which can be distracting while recording.
The iTrack Solo comes with a code to unlock Ableton Live Lite 8 and Focusrite's Scarlett plug-in suite, compatible with all major DAWs (digital audio workstations) on Mac and PC. These tools provide EQ, Compression, Gate, and Reverb, essential for polishing your mix.
