All cameras today have excellent image quality and features such as excellent AF be they 1 inch sensors, APS-C, or full frame. Ergonomics is probably more of a distinguishing factor today and the Fuji XT-5 excels in this for me. I can quickly and easily customize the settings while shooting.

Has worked well and lasts as long as expected, so far. Fujifilm brand batteries are a little on the expensive end, but I personally prefer to stick with brand name batteries on the off chance that a generic battery blows up and destroys my camera.

I would suggest only buying the official Fuji brand batteires in my opinion. I've tried the thrid party brand when I had an xt3, but they failed. The battery I had after a few uses began to swell. The third party battery would then become stuck inside of the xt3 which was a nightmare. So, if your thinking of saving a few bucks, if your confidnet in the third party I would defintiely suggest going with the fuji oem battery .

It works great and charges with ease. I bought third party batteries as well, and I find that the Fujifilm batteries are better. For example, the third part battery shows that it is at 85% of useful life, where the Fujifilm battery registers as 100%. I also find these batteries charge faster than the third party ones.

I only buy original, branded, batteries for my X-T4 to insure that my camera is ready to be used. I have purchased off-brand batteries in the past; but, have found that they fail at an alarming rate and when I go to use them, they are dead. The original Fujifilm batteries have not failed for me. They seem to hold their charge well.

I purchased the "open box" NP-W235 battery from Adorama for around $20 less than "brand new". I can't recommend this enough. Your mileage may vary, but my "open box" battery was same as new, and has worked perfectly for a few weeks now. The batteries in our $1000+ cameras are the lifeblood - the heart - of the camera. I'm not saying that 3rd party batteries are crap, nor am I saying that Fuji (and all the other name brands) aren't overcharging to have their name on the battery casing. However, I do trust an OEM battery over a 3rd party and if I can get a bit of a discount while still getting the OEM, that's my preference. Check in with Adorama's open box listings and give it a go!
