Purposeful but very heavy.

If you are thinking about picking up one of these for your PMW-EX3, consider the appreciable weight . The lens weighs in at over three and a half pounds, making it impracticable for shoulder mount use. I might even say that it really makes the camera useable on a tripod or support system. It does offer the perfect cinematic view or for covering the full 22 of a football game.

The Fujinon 1/2" Format HDTV Zoom Lens is an 8x 1/2" wide-angle high definition lens designed specifically for the Sony PMW-EX3 XDCAM Ex camcorder. The lens is fitted with the Ex bayonet mount, making it easy to attach and remove. The focal-length range is 4-32mm with a minimum object distance of under 0.6 meter or about 2 feet.
