Gitzo and Carbon Fiber? you know you're at tge top of the class with this one! The expected quality is here in spades, and the size is excellent! Beautiful choice of carbon fiber tubes and superb finish on the aluminum components has this essential bit of kit looking new even years later. Can't go wrong at this level, both of my Gitzo monopods back this up!

This monopod was recommended by a friend. It is certainly is a professional quality piece of gear. Durable is the prime word about the Gitzo brand. Highly recommend it if you have the money.

Best monopod available. A bit more expensive than most but well worth the cost to get a lightweight yet rock solid item that is built like a tank.

My old Manfrotto monopod started slipping and on the heavy side and I needed something better and lighter. It was a great monopod for my use over the years, but I needed something to replace it. I looked at several monopods in the local area and liked the Gitzo series of tripods and monopod. This monopod was a little on the expensive side but had a good, solid feel to it and was very lightweight. I especially like the locking twist legs. When compared to local stores, Adorama was much cheaper and free shipping , I could not resist the purchase.

Lightweight, compact, and extremely sturdy. Locking collars work to perfection. Ideal for any application but especially good for travel. I was wondering if I would like the foot given that I shoot a lot of wildlife on uneven surfaces but its proved to be a real asset in the field. Can't think of a single negative thing to say.

I purchased this with the intent of using it both locally and abroad with a 300mm f/2.8 lens. It is Gitzo quality, and all the parts are sturdy. The foot at the bottom, allows panning, which has been a surprising benefit. The small size and minimal weight, make it a no brainer to bring everywhere. Deploys quickly, and stows just as fast.
