Great adpater
The hold of the adapter ring is really secure. It's as secure as my westcott rapid box octa-XXL softbox for balcar mount.
You might get a fluke unit where they installed the balcar mount wrong. Just unscrews the three screws and flip the mount so the lip is facing outwards and reinstall.

Alien Bees get new life
Fits my Alien Bee lights a very heavy modifier may cause problems but this works for me and allows me to use my dependable lights with a whole new world of modifiers.

Works Fine with White Lightning!
I honestly don?t understand the various reviews saying this doesn?t work with an Einstein. This video proves it fastens quite securely to a white lightning 3200 with a fairly large soft box umbrella. It also worked just fine with an Ultra 1200. I find this ring a delight to use. It is very strong, and it?s very solid when it snaps into place. It?s actually fairly stiff to remove from the Bowens Mount. That said, since this is new I certainly cannot speak to the longevity of the spring tension metal inside the ring. Will it eventually loosen up a little more? Quite possibly yes. However the spring loaded pin is a safety feature to prevent the ring from spinning off when in use. So far I?m quite impressed on the build quality and the tolerances. This ring is all metal; no plastic at all. It works absolutely fine with White Lightening.

Does not stay securely in place
The adapter is not held in place properly and slips easily especially when lowering & raising the light. I had a Light Dome II almost fall on the client's head. After that I had to gaff tape the box to the light itself which looks very janky and unprofessional and defeats the purpose of the adapter.
Unless some improvements are made to this adapter I will keep using the dedicated PCB Accessories which I have bought since.
I do not advise buying this unless you ae willing to also tape the accessories to the light and have an assistant monitor it the whole time.

Fit My Needs Perfectly
I have both Flashpoint Xplor 600s and White Lightning Ultra 800s and Zapp Strobes and with The Glow Einstein to Bowens Mount Adapter I can easily trade out my Glow Softboxes, or any Bowens Mount Light Modifier from my Flashpoint Xplor 600 to my Ultra 800. The Mount adapter works as advertised!

Great Look, Great Design
I purchased two of these, for my Paul C. Buff White Lightning Ultras. The converters mounted solidly, and took my Glow softboxes without any trouble. I don't know about the claims other reviewers have made about fit-up issues with their strobes or Bowers speedrings not clicking into place. Maybe they had a less-than-stellar product sample, because my samples work just as intended and look great.

Works but needs modification
At first I couldn't get any of my modifiers over the internal silver retention clips. I ended up removing all of them and now my light modifiers fit.

It works...sort of
I bought this Glow Einstein to Bowens Converter as I was looking for a cheap/easy way to use my Einstein e640 strobes on the Aputure Spotlight Mount. This product is half of what I was looking for. The price is nice and the quality of materials seems decent but I do believe that the tolerances are not precise to what the mountings should be.
First, the Bowens mount side of converter would not fit onto the Spotlight Mount without modification. I tested and was able to get it to attach (extremely tightly) to some other Bowens mount modifiers (softbox, reflector) but ultimately I had to grind/Dremel the channel openings on the Glow Converter to make it fit the Spotlight Mount. It is ridiculously tight (taking all my grip/force) but I was able to finally get it locked onto the Spotlight Mount. I have not yet tried to remove it. I expect that will be very difficult also.
As for the Einstein side of the Glow Converter, it too does not seem to fit correctly and is not secure with this method of mounting. It seems loose, yet unable to get the lock/release sliders on the Einstein fully locked in. I could actually very easily pull the Einstein from the Glow Converter. I know that the Einstein e640 is probably meant to only have modifiers mounted to it and not to hang from the modifier but all my Paul Buff modifiers attach to the Einstein much more securely then this Glow Converter does. I have temporarily used a bungee cord to add a little tension but this is far from an adequate solution. I will either fabricate some bracket to secure the Einstein to the Spotlight Mount or buy a different adapter, if I can find a better one.

Einstein/Bowens Converter
Please note that this product is all but useless for connecting any EZ Lock soft box to an Einstein light source. Since the adapter does not LOCK with the Paul C. Buff light(s). Accordingly, a soft box of any size will slip off and potentially break the light. Not acceptable.

Fits but doesn't hold well
This item indeed attaches to a Bowens mount. (It's a tight fit. You have to turn clockwise with force.)
And the Balcar lip does fit onto a Balcar head. Problem is the inner surface of the adapter's Balcar lip is not flared away from the inner opening, it's straight-walled. Therefore the Balcar clamps cannot retract into their full, closed position, gripping the adapter. There is some degree of grip and I'll have to try it and see if it will hold a softbox when tilted down toward a subject. Not optimistic about that, but I'll let you know later.
