This is a great light box. I like the curve to it. I had a pick between this and the standard strip box. I am happy with this one. This doesn?t come with a grid but I haven?t need a grid on it for what I use it for.

These are awsome. I mounted a Godox panel LED in one and it's really nice. I use it for hair, eye catch light/fill and product work. Great shape. The curve makes it act like a much larger strip light.

I am a photographer who does headshots for corporate clients. Bounce fill has limitations, especially when using s grid and/or if the key light is not at an angle that would allow for bounce. Instead of the arc reflector, I opted for this. I have this product fitted on a strobe mounted to a Manfrotto Nano stand. It works beautifully and gives me so much more freedom and versatility. The catchlights it produces is surreal. This may or may not be to your liking, however. Personally, I qiite like it.

The ability to fold a diffuser the size is awesome, however the actual diffusion material is really bad/thin, and there isnt any option for replacement or third party purchase.

I have used the GODOX DP800III with this and the results were amazing! I love the quality of the Glow brand light modifiers. I was a bit surprised when I read reviews about taking the mounting bolt off and placing the plate underneath but it works perfectly and collapses just fine! My only complaint is it takes some getting used to for popping it off the light instead of just changing the orientation. You kind of have to finagle it a bit but now it's not an issue at all but when I first tried it popped right off.

Light shaping possibilities are numerous with this modifier and it seems that no one else makes/sells this shape/style of modifier. If anyone knows of a competing product, please let me know in the comments below. Construction material is on the cheaper side, so be careful with it. Locking mechanism is a bit tricky, but you get an idea after using it. The hardest thing I?ve found in putting this together or in dismantling it is the metallic deflector plate. The rubber grommet/washer in the plate actually gets in the way while trying to attach it the modifier. In my case, it just ripped after first attempt. If that happens, you?d want to put some insulation (rubber washer or spacer, dab of silicone glue, tape, etc.) or it will rattle. This only happens when the plate is installed in the concave configuration. In convex configuration, you won?t get a rattle because it is very tight. In fact, it is so tight that the modifier starts to warp?I don?t use it in that configuration. There are two cloth diffusers included, but no grid attachment. The inner baffle attaches via metal clips and the outer diffuser has Velcro. From my experience to get the optimum light quality from the modifier, an AD400Pro is minimally needed to drive it. These days I am using it with an AD600Pro and a FV200, but have used it with an AD-D2 bracket and two bonded AD200Pro. Modeling lamp comes in very handy, especially when you first start using it. Aside from the construction quality, I really don?t have any complaints. By the way, the Eyelighter II reflector from FJ Westcott has the same exact arc and size as this modifier?perfect clamshell lighting! The catchlights in the headshots are fantastic?an arc shape in the top and another in the bottom. When using FV200 LED and to be extra creative, I add a LED ring light (18? Bi-color LED Ring Light) to add those doughnut shaped catchlights in the center.

I was looking for a curved reflector for headshots when the Glow EZ Lock ARC 16 x 60” came up on my search. It looked like it would do the job, be easier to setup and on sale it cost less than the reflector. I like the idea of using a softbox because I can control the amount of light via the strobe. I am mostly posting this review because the Glow manual did not address the deflector disk that comes with the softbox. The disk DOES fit, but to make it work properly it seems that what you need to do is unscrew the center pin first with a wrench, put the disk on the bottom of the center pin, screw the center pin back into the base (hand tightening) and then tighten with the wrench. With the disk in this position the EZ Lock rods are not bending against the disk since there is around a 1/8” clearance. Overall, the light output from this softbox seems pretty even when measured with a meter. Yes, there is a hotspot in the center, but the diffuser seems to take care of that pretty well.

Seems to work fine but they included a metal diffuser and it doesn't fit or work with this box. So I think you can ignore it or have an extra if you need one for another modifier. Either the center post would need to be longer or the disk would need to be keyed to fit around the supports coming off the center post. Otherwise, it works great. I love these Glow EZ Lock modifiers!

The Glow EZ Lock Arc is great. Really easy to put together and break down. It would be awesome if these came with a grid. I would recommend this for photographers with small crews.

I recieved my Glow ARC StripBox 16X60 and man this thing is large. The half moon (ARC) shape allows light to wrap around the subject beautifully. Excellent for Boudior, Portraits and Headshots that require that wrapped around glow look. Assembly was easy. I noticed the StripBox does rotate on the ring even after tightening the Bowens Mount lock screw. My box was missing the grid so bummer on that. The quality appears to be of good quality. Less than 24hrs of use on two very basic setups to test it out. I also now remember why I choose umbrellas because I dislike the velcro defusing layer. As many have indicated below. There was an included reflection disk that is not in the manual. Due to the design of this StripBox, there isn't an easy way to mount it so I've omitted this from my shoot. Also like others have mentioned a response from Adorama is welcomed

Like other things I have bought from Adorama it is well built, functions as advertised and I think it is a good value. I have used it a couple of times to light the bottom of a portrait and the light wraps around much the same as a curved reflector, and it is easier to set up. But it came with this little 6 3/8” diameter disk, the same as comes with their collapsible beauty disk. I assume it was a mistake because it is not in the directions anywhere.

There is absolutely now way to put the included reflector on the shaft. Not sure - maybe it works for the bigger version, but definitely not for the 14x48" one.

Takes some finesse, but the reflector does in fact slip into place. I left a long review on Amazon, though I purchased it from Adorama. Fantastic, soft, wrap around light and so much faster than setting up/breaking down the Westcott curved reflector (plus a lot more control of your light). A permanent part of my mobile, corporate head shot studio!

Can Adorama/Glow please answer the question regarding attachment of the reflector plate in the Glow EZ Lock ARC Curved Strip Softbox? The models I've seen have a shaft which is insufficient in size to hold the plate and also, not enough room behind the locking mechanism to accommodate it there. Thank you for your response.

Very simple to setup, however, the aren't any instructions on how to install the reflector plate it comes with.
