139mm adapter ring fits perfectly. I can now use my Paul C Buff softboxes with my Flashpoint and Godox ad 300 strobes. It's a great option to save a few bucks and use the equipment you may already own. Easily switch back if you want to use your Buff strobes. Be sure to order the 139mm!

I used these when I switched from Paul Buff lights to Flashpoint. I didn't want to buy new modifiers so these were a good solution to modify the Balcar mounts on my my modifiers to bowens mounts. These aren't built very well. The only thing keeping the bowens ring from rotating is some detents in the housing. I bought two of these and found that one of them just kept rotating (the black, plastic component) so I had to take a punch and a hammer to deepened the detents. I ended up finding some all metal, one piece units that I just cut down with tinsnips to fit.

If you are planning to use a COB LED in a softbox or octabox, this Low Profile insert is the best choice. The normal size insert is too deep, reducing the spread of the light within the modifier, and, just as bad, casting shadows from the umbrella spokes. I learned this through trial and error, so I hope this helps those looking to adapt a Buff modifier to continuous lights such as those offered by Godox.

The speedring fits my Alien Bees softboxes perfectly. The 139mm size seems to work for three out of four of them. If you purchase one for an Alien Bee however, you MUST carefully measure each box as some are different sizes and a 139mm would be too small and a 144mm too big. Nice being able to use the AB boxes on my Bowens mount lights when needed.

The Godox AD300/XPLOR 300 should have a longer bulb to use it with Bowens softboxes via the XPLOR 400 mount adapter! So to fill in a large Bowens softbox you either need to use the S2 braket instead, or all your speedring inserts should be low profile. This speedring fits the bill. Nothing special about it, but it just works. Using it with the SMDV Alpha softboxes.

I bought this instead of the entire speeding. I have 3 rings with Elinchrome mounts and will be transiting to the Flash Point Pro’s in the coming months. No sense in spending the extra money of more soft box mounts. I replaced the metal ring for $ and everything works just as it should. Thumbs up!!!
