Used Glow Speed Ring Adapter to Mount ParaPop on Flashpoint Mount

By my own fault I did purchase the wrong item for my Glow parabolic, that being said the ring fit perfectly on the Flashpoint Strobe itself. I have no doubt that if it would have fit the softbox, then it would have worked fantastic. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars was that it is a bit pricey for hard plastic, would have been more impressed if it was metal only for concerns of it breaking if it fell.

Was included in my purchase but there aren’t any instructions on this. Just make sure you watch YouTube for why you will use this with your Parapop. It’s the adapter but for a beginner like me, there weren’t any instructions.

Careful this will not work with any modeling light or high temp strobe light. Unfortunately this is the only adapter ring I can find to fit my glow parapop to my flashpoint m series strobe light.

Plastic mounts are not good for continuous model lights. I will order another one because I don't have an option, and like the light modifier, but plastic was not a wise choice for production.

This mount is simple and fits my HexaPop perfectly to my Flashpoint strobe.

The only thing that's nice about this speed ring is the weight. It doesn't rotate or move on my strobe, so getting the light dialed in on the subject is not easy. With my metal speed rings I can go vertical to horizontal and in between by just grabbing the modifier and twisting it. This cheap plastic ring, which probably costs .25 cents to manufacture, is not nearly up to professional standards.

Before owning any flashpoint mount monolights, I previously owned different light modifiers with different mounts. With the speedring adapter, and the flashpoint beauty dish mount adapter, I've converted all my light modifiers to fit the flashpoint mount with the use of a drill and 1mm bolts and nuts. Now I can swap softboxes and beauty dishes quickly without having to cary other monolights.
