Don't leave it plugged in!

On a Mac Studio, this is a speedy card reader, and works really well. But if you leave it plugged in, it gets hot. Really hot. I'm not sure why, because it does this even if there is no card in either slot.

Hot product!

I got this reader when I bought my Canon R5 with a SanDisk CF Express Card. It reads the card just fine, but if I leave the card in the reader, both the card and reader get very hot well after all the images are transferred. It is connected to a Mac Studio if that makes a difference.
