One of the best sleeper discoveries I have ever made. These are very well finished and they are wonderful playing guitars. The Gretsch 2622 is similar to an ES335 is size and shape. It is an excellent jazz guitar and it also excels at rock. The Gretsch 2655 is a smaller body version, akin to the ES339. These are both extremely well made instruments. Adorama has a terrific price on these and the shipping was very fast. If your have ever wanted a Gretsch for that famous Gretsch sound and play ability, this is an excellent starting point.

First off, the packaging is tremendous, I think this could have been dropped off a a roof and came out unscathed. The guitar itself is beautiful, finish is immaculate - looks and feels like a much more expensive guitar. Out of the box, the setup is perfect too. Their quality control is super impressive, there are a couple of ca ds included where different people have checked and tested everything twice before it left the factory. Super happy with this purchase

Absolutely floored by this guitar! The look, the sound is out of this world! My first Gretsch. I'm sold. Here I was thinking Adorama was only good for photo & video gear only. \m/

I bought this at an incredible discount on Cyber Monday. Thinking it was too good to be true, I grew skeptical waiting on the delivery. Whoa! It arrives packed inside a fortress of cardboard designed to protect. Impressed! Finally, the guitar is unwrapped and it is beautiful and flawless. A quick tuneup reveals a perfect setup. No adjustments needed. Plugged in. Well, hours later... Pleased out of my mind for the entire experience.

I have been wanting to try one of these budget Gretsch guitars for a while now (I'm a Fender Guy) and finally decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. The fit and finish of the guitar is flawless; it was pick up and play. I had to tweak the truss rod (which always happens when you live in Minnesota) and lower the action a bit and that was it. The sunburst finish is gorgeous and my girlfriend says this is the prettiest guitar that I have. I was worried about the neck; is a little fatter and wider than a typical Fender but I had zero problems adjusting to playing it. The downside of the guitar is the electronics. The pickups are 'meh' and the knobs are basically on/off switches. They are perfectly acceptable at this price point (Gretsch has to cut corners somewhere in order to sell this for less than $1000) but I will probably swap them out at some point. Summary: A great guitar that could become the best guitar you've ever played with a few upgrades.

Beautiful in look and sound. I was a little concerned the body would be large and unweildy, but it feels really confortable playing it. The finish is flawless and the action low and natural.

Excellent guitar! This is the first Gretsch I've purchased but have owned and played many guitars over the years. I also own an Ibanez hollowbody and this guitar is more comfortable and has better playability and a faster neck which surprised me. One of the best guitars in this price range!! Pros: Top notch craftsmanship and build quality Excellent playability (just needed a slight adjustment to pickup height and bridge, easy to do with just a screwdriver) Has a good tone (works well with clean and dirty sounds, good middle of the road versatile pickup) Good tuning stability and tuners feel high quality for price (non-locking) Cons: Cheap volume knobs (functional but very plasticy and not very linear)

My first electric. Acoustic player for 40 years. It is a significant change but I am growing to love it. Guitar is beautiful and well crafted. I needed to pay a luthier for proper set up though as the nut was not cut well and was out of tune constantly. Action was too high, but now it plays awesome!

The spruce center block, a lightweight yet sturdy addition, extends through the body to bolster the guitar's top and curtail unwanted feedback, making it an ideal choice for high-volume stage performances.
Control over the Streamliner's sonic output is precise and intuitive, thanks to its traditional layout featuring individual pickup volume controls, a master tone control, master volume control, and a three-way pickup selector. The fast-playing 12"-radius fingerboard, with its 22 medium jumbo frets, offers a comfortable playing experience that both beginners and seasoned guitarists will appreciate.
The Gretsch V-Stoptail tailpiece not only contributes to the guitar's unique visual charm but also ensures rock-solid tuning stability, complemented by the anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge and synthetic bone nut. The nickel hardware, three-ply tortoise pickguard, and aged white binding with upgraded purfling all add to the Streamliner's classic yet contemporary Gretsch flair.
For guitarists who seek to stand out with a blend of vintage style and modern playability, the G2622 Streamliner Center-Block is an irresistible choice. Its unique V-Stoptail design and high-quality maple construction not only promise enduring appeal but also guarantee a sound that's as resonant and expressive as it is reliable.
