Improves the handling of the A7S
I am really enjoying this cage for my A7S. I shoot mostly video and have found that it really helps with the stability of my shooting. The camera is so small so the wooden handle helps provide a better grip and the record button is much easier to manage than the one on the camera. The cage is lightweight enough and offers so many ways to customize it. I do wish there was an easier way to release the camera from the cage instead of having to unscrew it from the tripod mount which can be a bit cumbersome, but overall it has been a good addition to my kit.

Finally
I've needed something for my Sony A7RII and A7SII for a while now and I couldn't be happier with this cage. I use it to add on a shotgun mic, Atomos Shogun Flame, Atomos Power Station and sometimes addition light. My cameras fit perfectly allowing me to access all the buttons with ease. The grip feels great and works flawlessly. Get it you'll be happy you did.

Build quality is superb with plenty of options for mounting accessories
The best part of this rig is the start/stop button on the comfortable wooden handle. However, this only works the body. Will not trigger my Atomos, "yet". Build quality is superb with plenty of options for mounting accessories.

The ES-T17-A consists of a fully enclosed unibody rig made out of a single piece of CNC machined aluminum featuring a handcrafted Start/Stop remote trigger handle wooden handle made out of Brazilian rosewood. The bottom of the rig has an open section for the battery port, which makes battery removals or changes much easier. A NATO rail mounted top handle is included with the ES-T17 camera rig. It can be adjusted into four different positions and the top handle also features a cold shoe mount. The entire rig features an impressive total of 101 1/4"-20 and 14 3 /8"-16 threaded mounting holes. This allows you to mount accessories on every side of the camera if needed!
In addition to the multiple points, the ES-T17 camera rig is also versatile enough to fit all versions of the Sony a7 Series. It can also be configured to work for the Movi, Ronin, Shoulder rigs, drones, etc.

Sony a7 Series Compatibility
The camera rig is designed to perfectly fit the entire Sony a7 series of mirrorless digital cameras.
XLR Audio Adapter Compatible
The cage is designed to fit around the top of the camera's hot shoe mount. This allows the operator to mount Sony's XLR audio adapter (XLR-K1M or XLR-K2M) directly to the top of the camera.
Baseplate Support
• A 15mm Lightweight Support baseplate with an integrated lens adapter comes with the ES-T17.
• The lens adapter is compatible with EF to E-Mount or PL to E-Mount Metabones adapters. A second lens support bar is also included.
• The quick release rail design allows the ES-T17 cage to easily connect or detach from the baseplate.
