This retro focus lens has a 95' diagonal angle of view making it the most extreme wide-angle lens presently available in the medium-format. Outstanding results are achieved throughout the focusing range exhibiting excellent corner-to-corner sharpness.
Whether through requirement or for effect, this lens features advanced optical design and can prove very useful for a wide range of assignments including and landscape, architecture and photojournalism. Please note, however, that this special lens is designed specifically for the H3D & H4D camera models and is for digital use only. Consequently it is not compatible with the film magazine HM 16-32, the film magazine HMi 100 or the Converter H1.7x. The HC lenses all have electronic shutter mechanisms and feature Multi Coating to eliminate stray light, an integral focus drive motor, and feature instant access to manual focus as well, without the need to switch between auto focus and manual.
HC lenses are constructed of metal, not plastic, wherever possible, to ensure their reliability and durability for many years to come. Also, the special optical design of the lenses features a uniquely soft, smooth quality to the blurred or out-of-focus areas of the image. With a bayonet mount, and threaded filter type front end, the lens includes a lens shade that reverse mounts for transport as well.
