Review Summary
The precision made Hasselblad lenses, the efficient internal stray-light protection, and the rigid magazine mount provide the perfect conditions for image production with digital backs. Vibration-free operation is essential to such detailed work, especially when using three-shot, multi-shot, and scanning digital backs, since even the slightest movement of the camera will result in a loss of image sharpness. In fact, many of the design elements Hasselblad is so proud of are perfectly suited for digital photography. Others can be modified to cater to the specific demands presented by digital image capture.
One such example is the specially developed DPS 4x4 viewfinder. This viewfinder enlarges the central part of the viewfinder for extremely accurate focusing when using digital sensors of a diagonal of up to 4 cm.
Combines great with the 55ELD camera with Leaf, Color Crisp, Megavision, Phase One and other Digital camera backs with area sensors.
Enlargement of the screen image is 5.5x, so that critical focusing is simple and exact. Just turning the setting ring adjusts the eyepiece from -2.5 to +0.5 diopter. A Mounting Kit comes with the Hood allowing for Custom correction lenses by your optician if further correction is necessary.
