Mainly use for indoor shots of people. Adds a nice warm tint to the pictures. Easy screw on and off. Also compatible with other filters.

Great Filter all around. It adds warmth to my landscapes. I would avoid using if for portraits of any kind indoor or out but for the landscape photographer whether on digital or film this is a must filter.

Attached this warming filter for indoor portraits and cloudy outdoor pictures. I like the effect, it is very subtle. The lens quality appears very good. [...]

It works just fine. No added distortion. Effective. It's a bit thicker than some of Hoya's other filters, but with a DX/1.6x camera, you won't notice. I can stack 3 of them w/o vignetting on an 18mm lens. Not a problem.

This is a great filter, properly cared for it will last decades, but it is not cheap. Don't waste your money by buying this filter for UV or lens protection, buy a 1A filter or a UV for lens protection. Save this for what is was made for - color correction/enhancement.

'81' series are color corrective filters that 'warm' bluish tones. They are avaible in several strengths (A, B, C & EF) with 'A' being the mildest warming effect.
Available in all popular sizes.
