Works seamlessly with wireless with my M1 MacBook Air, errrr, that is after I thought to simply reboot after having issues connecting at first:) It is a joy to use. After years of manually printing both sides by printing even-only-reversed and then flipping to print odd only, I am relieved of that challenge with the duplex printing feature.

My HP Color LaserJet Pro M255dw is FABULOUS!!! Although at initially, I was not so sure since the front paper tray seemed a bit flimsy ... until it was full of paper, and then it slid back in like it was on ball bearings! The set-up was effortless, once i saw where to do it online ... it happened without a hitch ... EASY! As far as the color printing is concerned there was no set-up here, like I had to do with my earlier 12-year-old HP color laser printer ... this one was set up right from the start! And it already comes with ALL of the ink cartridges already inside the printer. Nothing to do but to plug it in, plug in the USB cable (or set up the Wi-Fi), go to HP online to set it up ... and print! EASY!!! And the images are fabulous, including the color photos which I also printed with it! If there is any downside, the ONLY thing that I found was that the whine of the printer, while it is printing, is a bit loud, but nothing to complain about from my perspective.

Was looking for a basic laser printer that could handle a lot of printing when needed. Color is a plus. A laser-jet would not do, and was not high quality. This prints great, and quick, and you can print from phone too. The set up was unbelievable. Literally one step, go to the website, and it found all the mac, wifi, computer, router addresses, downloaded and installed the software, (no guessing), and linked it all up, ready to print. No "add printer", no downloading software, no running install and hope if finds your printer. Excellent choice. Also, printer is NOT loud like other comments say.

Fast little printer. Impressed with the quality and easy setup. The little screen makes connecting to the network and getting started a breeze. Printer supports Apple print so I can print documents straight from my phone. It's also very quiet compared to my last laser jet that I've used for 15 years. Love the fact everything works as it should.

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you consider HP products! I've had NOTHING PUT PROBLEMS with this printer for the entire time I've owned it. It suddenly loses connections to the network and yet ALL of my other devices have NO PROBLEMS and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get the printer to work - even that my NEW HP computer recognizes it on the network AN the printer claims that it's connected too. Absolute GARBAGE! I've already called HP on at least FIVE different occasions. The printer works for a while and then stops.

After about 10 days the ink is fading on the right and green doesn't print right on the left. The green is on the left side of the sheet has a blue tint to it.

This printer has become a gigantic $350 paper weight because of a false paper jam error that cannot be cleared. It's unbelievable that HP cannot make a printer that can be "fixed"after a paper jam. That aside from it going offline even if connected via USB...

After 3 years I am told I need to get a new printer because HP does not allow the means to clear a false paper jam error. They don't tell you you need to turn the printer off to clear a paper jam, and then you can't clear the error after that. No reset button, no press and hold trick... Planned obsolescence at it's finest. No care for the consumer. No intention of being environmentally friendly at the slightest.

Blurry color printing. Black is OK. I think the toner cartridges got misaligned. Shouldn't ship with them in the tray. Tried recalibrating. Will try a new black cartridge.

OK, so I went down the wrong path. I bought 3rd-party toner for 7 years on my old HP Printer, an HP M252 LJ. Yes, the quality of the lower-price toners caused my print-outs to look... less than beautiful. And I ran that printer for 7 years without a hitch beyond that quality issue. I'm retired now, and I considered tearing this old printer down, cleaning it thoroughly, buying my $400+ set of legitimate toners, and resuming with a clear conscience. Then my daughter was interested in the old thing, and not picky about quality, so I gave it to her, and ordered the M255. Win - win! I like the M255, and I have REAL toner in it, and will bite the bullet and continue using same. My observations: 1. The printer is noisier than the old one 2. The time-to-start is considerably faster 3. The unit is almost exactly the same sive as the old one 4. The unit is heavier than the old one, but I don't have to carry it anywhere! 5. The manual did not take my hand and talk me thru the process of sharing the printer. The first time, I made it a wireless device on my computer, but other computers in the house did not see it. I got a techy friend to help, and he talked me thru configuring on the printer itself to make it sharable on my wireless. I am very pleased with it now, and if a guest needs to print from their phone, Kindle, laptop, whatever, They can get to it if I offer the password. It's a real kick, not now tech, but I like it. So, I should not need another, as long as I buy those high-priced toners from Father HP. Maybe they have a discount program if I PROMISE to NEVER use a third-party toner EVER!?!?

So far so good! The only thing that I can't quite understand, is the Print Options are different depending on what program you are in. Specifically a check-box for either choosing or not choosing duplex printing. When in MS Word, that option is not available and automatically prints duplex, so need to print 1 page at a time. How can I toggle on/off???

This printer is rated to have a 140,000 page duty cycle per month. Over the past 2 years mine printed about 2500 prints. Then it stopped printing color effectively. Even with brand new genuine HP toner, it still wont print color. Disgusted. HP inkjets dry up. HP Laserjets break down. Explain to me please how this is not a scam?

I love my HP printers. I had a laser printerthat lasted me for over 15 years and created great art quality prints. It printed on various papers, vellum, transparency sheets and even tracing paper taped to copy paper. The color was impeccable. My new Mdw laser is good but I am experiencing some problems after only a gew weeks. I have had several issues. My transparencies got jamed in the printer. I have learned that I can only register 1 printer in the ink savings program. I had a problem with the edge of some of my documents, about 3 to 4 inches from the edge were severely faded into no color. When I got a transparency to print it was very messy. I am currently disappointed.

My last HP color laserjet printer lasted over 12 years, but I decided to replace it when I purchased my new HP computer. It took only minutes to set up. It works perfectly with my desktop, my Chromebook, and my iPhone.

I've been very frustrated with this printer so far, largely due to its abysmal handling of envelopes. The specs claim it can handle envelopes, but it's hard to believe anyone in quality assurance actually tried to print envelopes. Repeated jamming, slow, cumbersome initialization process every time you load more envelopes or clear a nonexistent jam. Poor design, poorly executed.
