The Super Wizard AS 5pc Maple/Wenge neck is designed with a more rounded shape on the 6th string side, maintaining the overall thickness of the Super Wizard - 17mm at the nut and 19mm at the 12th fret. This asymmetric shape provides a comfortable and stable grip, making techniques like sweeping and string skipping easier.

The RG8870 also features a Macassar Ebony fretboard, known for producing tight lows and mid-range tones, along with a strong attack in the highs and quick response with rich sustain.
