JAMO is the best kept secret ! This center channel is so clear and crisp it was an add on when I bought the Jamo S809's which are AMAZING HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THEM. BUT THIS IS THECHERRY ON TOP ! Adorama had this as a package deal on a flash sale great price and this surprise very satisfied with purchase.

I paired this with S 83 CEN with my Jamo S 803 speakers. I had heard that the center speaker is very important for surround sound. This works great with the S 803's. I saw a diagram which showed theaters have over 80% of the dialog from the center. The Jamo S 83 CEN has has twice the woofers of the 803 which works well. I just got my surround system and speakers working yesterday and this arrangement works very well. I am so happy with this purchase. I have a feeling this speaker line is being phased out, I am glad I bought before they are gone.

Fantastic with Dirac receivers like the VSX-LX305 and really improves dialogue intelligibility. There are a few movies in which the dialogue is pretty quiet but I'm not sure if that's how a specific movie was mastered or not. I will say the sound stage leaves much to be desired. For example, shooting games make fun sounds sound narrow. As soon as I use my receivers setting to spread center to left/right, guns sound like they are actually in an open field rather than the compressed sound this S83 delivers. However, the total being $70, I cannot complain at all. If I didn't have Dirac though, I imagine this speaker would be worse without room EQ. I also angled my center channel up to listener height to improve clarity. See pics

Arrived quickly. It was a little bigger than I anticipated but sounds great because of the size and port slot. I get a great range of hz which allows for more natural bass voices.

I am still waiting for 2 of the speakers that came in my set. I had to call to be told that they are on back order. The speakers that showed up have good clear sound. Just hope I get the others soon and that they had reached out to me about being back ordered.
