Used JBL PartyBox Ultimate 1100W Portable Bluetooth Party Speaker

I got this speaker for Christmas from my kids, and just a few days ago I had it outdoors at a target shooting event. Accidentally and unfortunately my speaker recieved a gun shot (9mm) to the top speaker and never quit working!!!! Believe it or not, it still functions and plays like nothing happened. I would like to get it fixed even though it still works, get a new grill cover and possible new speaker. Not sure who to reach out to.

Terrible experience, I purchased the Partybox ultimate on black Friday and was very excited to receive the unit. The speaker that I received had an issue. I called customer service to coordinate a exchange , and the speaker was picked up by UPS a couple days later. It's been more than 2 weeks and I have not received any speaker nor did I get my refund. I spend countless hours with offshore customer service and they have been horrible to deal with...buyers be aware....

As an owner of the last monster JBL speaker, the party box 1000, I was doubtful any speaker could outperform that one. Boy was I wrong!! The best way I can describe the Ultimate speaker is Ferocious!! It had the same power output as the old 1000, but it has more speakers and produces even louder and clearer music. On top of that it also has a way better light show! More color, movement, and synchronicity than any speaker I've ever seen! The upgraded wheels and handle make for easy movement of this beast, just know it weighs a lot and would be best to have a friends help if you have to carry it. I would give this speaker 10 stars if I could! If you love awesome speakers, go ahead and buy it, you won't be disappointed!!

I bought this speaker a couple weeks ago, and all I can say is wow. This thing is incredible. I haven't been able to turn it past 50% volume without it knocking things off the walls. If you need loud and heavy bass, this thing has it all plus some. The price is steep, but all worth it as soon as you hear it for the first time.

I got this Saturday June 1st. Not really impressed yet. I have 2 710s. Not much louder than a 710 imo and i had trouble pairing my samsung 24 ultra.

Hopefully for the next partybox they can do a 3 way for the tweeters & mids speakers, just like the tweeters design on the authentic 500 and this time with 2 10inch subwoofers !! This speaker is nothing shy of professional quality. Hands down one of the highest quality sounds you can physically hear from a (somewhat) portable Bluetooth speaker. I'll break my review down in a few sections. I am a lifelong speakerhead deriving from Klipsch as my favorite in home products and JL Audio for car and marine products. I only like the good stuff. You don't skimp out on the 3 S's .. Sound, Speed, and Sex?. My music of choice- You name it, I listen to it. My favorite band is The Grateful Dead, but I go everywhere from Classic Rock to Rap to EDM to County to Metal and everything in between. Size - 6/10 for convenience Sound Quality Overall- 10/10 hands down Features- 8.5/10 pretty cool overall Ease of Use - 10/10 Value - 9/10 Size: This thing is absolutely massive, and when I say that it's like 87 or something pounds and almost 4 feet tall, the box it came in was the size of a small refrigerator. It is relatively easy to wheel around but getting in a small car or up and down stairs, you'll need to prepare for the challenge. For reference it takes up the entire backseat in a Yukon laying on its side. It is HUGEEEEEEEE! If you are looking for something to move all the time, I would highly suggest a smaller speaker like a 710 or 510. If you only occasionally need to move it or have a large vehicle you'll be fine. Thats why this section gets a 6/10 for me. I do plan to move it around a bunch. I like to bring the party with me. Sound Quality - This is where it seriously shines, or should I say shakes.. because it will quite literally shake everything around you. That's how powerful it is, the 1100 watts absolutely pumps! The speaker features 2 tweeters, 2 mid range drivers and 2 subwoofers. The range of sound is truly spectacular, it can hit the highest highs even at high volume without any distortion whatsoever. It really does not matter what genre of music you listen to. The first time people hear this thing in person, every single one had a smile on their face, and that's exactly what GREAT speakers should do. The mid range is extremely solid given it has its own set of drivers. I notice when you play around with the in-app EQ it really does a beautiful job of fine tuning to your liking. The bass?OH MY? it's?ridiculous? truly? I was absolutely blown away by hard this bass with hit you, even in an open room, small room, outside? you name it.. the bass is there. As someone who has had 12 in subs in their car with 700 watts powering it, it literally reminded me of that. Mind Rattling Bass.. I did not think that was possible from a Bluetooth speaker. I would put this speakers bass response up against any other Bluetooth Speaker EVER MADE? JBL seriously knocked it out of the park with the sound quality. You never lose bass at high volumes, it does not distort, all levels can be adjusted to your liking, plays everything perfectly. Even at 25% volume this thing is LOUD.. if you live with a bunch of neighbors or in an Apartment you will get the cops called on you even at 50% volume. 100% volume could be used for an entire wedding reception. This is professional quality through and through. Amateur DJ's could easily pick up a pair of these and be solid for any venue. There some great videos on YouTube with how it sounds vs other speakers in this category, and this speaker sounds like it's playing a completely different song. Sound Quality gets the easier 10/10 I could ever give out. I can't stress it enough. Features- The lights on this speaker are so freaking cool and customizable. They put on really cool display and if you turn the lights off you can feel like you're in your own personal night club or concert with great visuals. And they are bright! The party pad on top is cool to set to custom DJ setting for a quick horn or scratch. The fact that you can connect to another PartyBox Ultimate is really cool and it's wireless. But be aware they can only connect to other PartyBox Ultimates at this time. One is enough for 95% of occasions. There's Mic Hookups, Bass Boost, which truly changes how the bass feels and sounds. It a standout feature in my opinion. Light's get an easy adjustment tool in the app to change the setting and color. I have not messed around with the Effect Lab too much it's more of a gimmick because someone is going to actually DJ from an app lol. But it's fun to mess around with it. Features get a solid 8.5/10. Ease of use - You do need to plug it in, it's got 1100 watts for crying out loud, find an extension cord if you need one.. as far as connecting your PartyBox to your phone and clicking a song on Spotify, it could not be any easier to use. Download the JBL One app, connect your device, mess around with the settings and play some songs. Anyone could figure it out. It uses the same JBL connectivity via Bluetooth as any other device even as small as the Flip's. Once you're connected you're good to go. Ease of Use 10/10 Value - This thing is an investment hands down. It is not for someone looking for an economical option, JBL has plenty of lower priced Partybox's that all sound great, (I have a small PartyBox encore and that things absolutely rocks for its size, the easiest to move around Bluetooth speaker you can buy, best bang for your buck.) this is one of the most expensive if not thee most expensive Bluetooth speaker on the market. That being said $1700 price tag is going to price 99% of people out of its market. But if you can truly afford it, spend the money and you won't regret it. This is will extremely hard to beat in the future. Overall, JBL, hats off to you. 10/10 even despite the size. You absolutely knocked it out of the park and my pictures off the wall!!! Amazing product.

I would like to give you my review on the new JBL Party Box Ultimate. I was hoping to hear a speaker that would give a good sound while also filling a big room or outdoor area without distortion when turned up, and I have to say I was beyond impressed with this speaker. It blew me away! The sound is crystal clear, and the louder you turned it up the more definition it had. And the bass, is incredible. I mean you can feel it in your chest. The two 9" woofers supply a pounding bass that you can feel on the floor, in the room and on your body. Fantastic clarity from the midrange and tweeters as well. This Party box is truly an ultimate experience. No matter what music you listen to, you get very well balanced sound, and you can crank it up! I mean crank it loud. I took this up to my sons 30 acre farm for an outdoor party, and we played this speaker as loud as it would go. We could hear it clear as a bell about a football field away and still hear the bass pounding. You'd swear there was a band playing outdoors. Granted the field is without structures in the way, but the sound was great. I brought it home, put it outside on my deck and turned the volume up about a third of the way, and within 40 minutes the police had rolled by twice. I just had to try it to see the reaction of my neighbors. Some of them couldn't believe that much sound was coming from that speaker. And great sound at that. As a professional musician, I have always used JBL speakers in my PA system. This party box is obviously from their pro audio side, as the sound volume and clarity was closer to PA speaker quality. I plugged a guitar into the back of the party box and a mic and played along with some music. Super easy to do just like plugging into an amplifier. I also was able to blue tooth some karaoke music from my device to the party box ultimate, and could sing with the mic and use it as a big karaoke. There is even equalizer control knobs on top to dial in the sound to your liking when using it to sing or play with. The party box ultimate could be used in a night club and have a quality that would make you sound and look very professional. You also have the ability to run a light show built right into the speaker that will sync up to your sound or the lights can be run by a separate person to give a dazzling lighting effect. I have a room with glass sparkle on the ceiling, and lights made really nice effects on the ceiling as well as the bottom of the speaker box has lights that reflect on the hard wood floor which again makes the light show fun to just sit and watch. Inside the house, I tried the ultimate party box in different rooms and the sound was great in all rooms as the party box has auto tune so it automatically adjusts to the room to get the best sound. That is really a nice feature. There is an interactive panel on top to give you great DJ effects. You have WiFi 6 and blue tooth 5.3 connectivity so you can pair up to ten party boxes if your really looking to expand the sound in a big club or room setting that is a awesome feature as well. And the best part of the WiFi is that you can stream in Dolby Atmos sound. You're hearing different sounds from all around the room. Bells, bongos, laser sounds you name it, it's there and enjoyable. The Ultimate Party Box is really well built and looks amazing. It has the JBL splash resistant IPX4 guard to protect the unit from spills or splashes from pools. Heavy duty casters and a nice handle for easy moving. Also, you can download the JBL one app for easy connectivity and control of the Party box. Such as a EQ control, lighting affects control. Simply plug the speaker box into the wall and link up your device, that's it. I made a small video to watch the lights and hear the sound. And yes, if you want to just listen to music, you can turn off the light show. I highly recommend the JBL Party Box Ultimate to anyone that wants to throw big parties at the pool, outdoor parties, or maybe even doing DJ or Karaoke work. You will have a great sound and look professional in these types of uses, and it is quite affordable for those who want to do professional work. If you want to use it as an all around home sound and link up other party box's in your home, this is another great way to do that. Although there is a great sound at lower volume, if you live in a apartment or have neighbors on the other side of the wall, this may not be a very practical unit, as you need to turn it up to get that bass thumping and pictures vibrating on the wall to really appreciate the quality of this speaker box. So on a scale of 1-10, ten being the best, I give the JBL Party Box Ultimate, a definite 10+. You will be extremely happy with the sound, lights and quality.

It has deep bass which you can feel, in whatever room you are in, within the house. You can also hear it outside with the door closed. HUGE SOUND! Now let's talk about size. It is a BIG speaker. It sits upright about 4 ft. I am only 4'11". I was dumbfounded when the box arrived and even more surprised when we opened it and it stood as tall as the box it came in. A downfall of the gigantic size of this thing is it's very heavy. A plus though, is it does have a handle and wheels to move it around. It is just hard to put into your vehicle if you are taking it somewhere. It has all kinds of fun features in DJ mode. There's a siren and beat pad. You can also adjust the colors on the speaker and the pattern it is using to mimic the sound. Beautiful colors emerge! You can also control the speaker with the JBL app. So neat! My husband has already used it to scare the whoa outta me! It has a small compartment in the back to store your power cord. There are two things keeping this from being a 5 star review. It doesn't connect to my partybox 310 or my boombox. Sad stories. Lastly, it will not stay on without the power cord being plugged into the wall. I have to have it plugged in at all times. I am not sure whether this was intentional or if my speaker has an issue. The price is hefty, but absolutely reasonable and would say it is worth more than its value. Love this addition to my sound garden! Buy it!!

Peek the dimensions?this is no small speaker! It definitely delivers on some booming sound! It's great for backyard BBQs and great for basement hangouts with the light show it gives- which is fully customizable with the JBL One app. You can actually turn all the lights off if you'd want to utilize it at home without the distraction. My nieces had a lot of fun hooking up mics and singing along to music. There's also a cool little cubby in the back for cord storage and some wheels to move this beast around.

From the first time I powered this device on, I have been wowed by its quality, performance, and flashiness. This is a speaker that truly gets the party started. This Partybox is a BEAST! Weighing in at over 80lbs you might think you need a dolley to move this massive system around, but think again because it has a very nice set of wheels built into the base. A very comfortable built in handle makes maneuvering this thing a breeze. Most portions of the body have a nice rubberized surface to keep it from denting but aids in providing grip. After opening the box, I noticed there wasn't a user's manual persay. There was a quick guide to download an app: JBL One. The JBL One does an excellent job of managing the JBL Ultimate PartyBox and any other JBL products you would like to sync. Plug in the PartyBox and then open the JBL One app to sync and perform any functions the PartyBox offers...which are many. From playing your music, to controlling the LED lights, volume, equalizer, the app does it all. The light show on the PartyBox is stunning. The array of colors and the brightness makes it hard to look away. Our 1 year old grand daughter loves the PartyBox!! Easy entertainment for her and the whole family. There are lights everywhere on the box...on the 2 9" woofers, the front housing, the top, the side, and even underneath the PartyBox. The sound is crystal clear! At 1100 watts, if you want it loud, be prepared for your neighbors to hear the beat too. With Bass Boost, you have the ability to rattle the pictures on you walls, just be careful because this think THUMPS!!! It is such a great feeling being able to feel your hairs move as the bass can rattle your body. No joke, the PartyBox is a concert style system. There is a storage location for the power cords or any other cables you need. The other accessory inputs are USB 2.1A 5V, a microphone in with gain control, an AUX in, a second mic/guitar in with gain control, and a "Daisy Chain" in and out. These inputs have a nice water resistant rubberized flap to keep the elements out. On the top of the box there are several controls, all which make controlling volume and lights very easy. All in all I am extremely happy and very impressed with the PartyBox Ultimate. Something we will use for many years around the house, outside, at the lake, and at parties. The only two things I can say are "cons" for this box: it's bulky and heavy, and I wish it was truly portable with an internal storage battery....that would only add to the weight. The JBL partybox ultimate is an absolute crowd pleaser. Im a fan of the design quality and feel/look the power of bass you not only can hear but feel and the lights are I think the best I've ever seen on a Bluetooth speaker. the sound is phenomenal, and highs and mids are amazing I absolutely would recommend the party box ultimate to anyone who loves to dj and partying all night long, And to just sit back and relax and enjoy blown away! sound. Cons. I wish it came with a branded JBL dust cover that would be cool. The box art that JBL uses is still my favorite. the only thing I was worried about when I opened the box I noticed the box was cracked from shipping and handling thankfully nothing got damaged very happy about that.

Well first and foremost, this speaker is an absolute GIANT! It's about 41 inches tall and is fairly heavy in weight but the good thing is it has wheels so u can roll it around instead of carrying it everywhere. Aside from that, when i say this speaker bumps, it BUMPS! Its so loud it lights up a football field. Speaking of lights, the light show on this speaker is insane with so many options. You can also use it for Karaoke night because it has a microphone port and also has a guitar port if you need some type of amp. It also has a "partypad" which allows you to DJ a little bit and play around with different sounds all controlled through the app. Overall i am extremely happy with this speaker and am very excited to use it every chance i get.

This speakers audiobquality comes second to none!! Soon as it arrived I tore open the box to reveal a tower that comes up to my lower chest. Its a monster! The bass that comes off this thing without bass boost is impressive and with BB on it takes it to a new level, whole house was shaking with 30% volume, Id say a bit too kuch bass for indoor use. I have to keep it relatively low volume and had to use the JBL One app to lower the bass in the EQ and still its very punchy. I will definitely be using this for all our upcoming parties as it is loud!! The light show is amazing and I can look at it for hours withiut it becoming too stale. I like the sound pad effects you can customize in the One app as well. Probably wont use the mic and guitar inputs much but its nice to have. The chromecast audio is a bit iffy as it loses connection sometimes mid song on a strong 5 ghz network thats 500 mbps. Dont know what thats about. Another gripe is that when I turn on the bass boost from the app and turn on ounchy bass, I leave the app to change a song The bass boost appears off in the app and I have to toggle back on seems like a bug that must be fixed in the next firmware update I guess. Other than that the button on the top works flawlessly but would like the remote option. Its definitely worth the price tag and anyone will be lucky to hear this beast of a speaker. JBL is simply the best when it comes to audio!
