Used Kenko TelePlus MC7 AF 2.0X DGX Teleconverter for Sony Alpha Digital SLRs

Took this for a spin in the mountains of Colorado. Paired it with a Sigma 70-200/2.8 and it focused well with a Sony A77m2. Liked the reach, but not crazy about the impact on bokeh (made it "busy"), when the 2.8 by itself has nice smooth backgrounds.

This is an excellent answer to extending your current lens for that occasional special photo. It does not replace an extended lens for your camera.

Good quality teleconverter. It is always a little challenge to use a 2X teleconverter due to the loss of 2 stops of light and it requires some practice to be able to focus correctly. Results are good and quite sharp.

I was told it would not work with my Tamron 18-270 lens but it works just fine. Of course it needs support for the camera at long telephoto but this is to be expected. I was surprised at how well the autofocus worked.

Just received it 2 weeks ago and have not had much time to test it. However, I took a few pictures at a familiar location and it performed as expected. I am happy with the product.

I was looking to get a bit more zoom out of my 200 mm lens and this did the trick . For the money it is a good lens.
