Great monopod head

Excellent monopod head. Serious quality, smooth function. The clamp grips the lens plates perfectly. I use it with a Canon 5d Mark III, Canon 300mm f/2.8L IS II, and Canon 400mm f/2.8L IS II. The vertical adjustment works effortlessly, grips tight when you want it to, and backing the tension off slightly allows easy vertical adjustment with no worries about the lens flopping over. Easy to control the amount of tension on the adjustment. Couldn't be more pleased.

Great monoped head that fills the bill

I use this monoped head to support my 150-600mm lens. The excellent tension adjustment really allows for your personal maneuverability needs relative to what your shooting

Excellent Head

This is a well-machined head which is perfect for the Giottos monopod (MML3270B). The former anti-twist screw (only one of the three)could be used with this head. The clamp is firm and solid. The head movements are first class. Controls are easy to use and reach. The use of an allen wrench to adjust the orientation of the plate is not an issue. I had it adjusted to my preference, and never dealt with it again in the field.

Excellent Quality

I purchased this tilt-head to replace a Kirk MPA-1 head which was barely adequate for my needs and which I lost on a bus in Croatia. The MPA-2 is a top-notch, solidly built head which is far superior to the previous MPA-1. I mount this on a Calumet 8x carbon-fiber monopod. Although my greatest load at present is a Canon 7D + 300mm f/4L IS and 1.4x TC or 400mm f/5.6L; I am sure that this rig would support a far heavier payload. Although it is a bit heavier and somewhat more expensive than my previous MPA-1, both the weight and the price are well worth it. The slot is easily shifted 90-degrees to accomodate a camera on an L bracket and adjusts throughout its range quite nicely. I often carry my camera/lens attached to the monopod and tilt-head and over my shoulder. I feel a lot more secure with the MPA-2 than I did with the MPA-1.

Great head

I have to say this thing is built like a tank and I have no worries about it supporting my Nikon 200-400mm lens with D800 attached. I use to have a Manfrotto head attached to the monopod and it did Okay for my other lenses, but it of course the 200-400mm weighs more than it can handle. Plus I like the arca-swiss mount better than the Manfrotto and might be converting all my stuff to Kirk's.
