Gels not glued on well
Gels were not glued down well and fell off. Had to glue them down myself and it was not what I expected to have to do.

Great addition for photography

When you use a 7-inch reflector...
Useful for those shots/series for which you use the 7-inch reflector, and want to color or otherwise modify the light. The mechanism to attach the barn doors to the reflector is old-fashioned and requires a bit of patience.

Not sturdy, but the price is right
For the price it works well. One of the clips to keep it screwed on to the reflector was broken off, I super glued it, and it broke off again. Its not a strong or sturdy piece of equipment. Ive only used it twice, luckily both times I had a photo assistant that could hold it for me, otherwise it would have fallen off due to the broken off clip. But for the price.... what do you expect? I'll try gluing it again.

The Glow Barndoor Kit, a real bargin.
Great for lighting a section of the scene, for example, as a hair light, to add interest to a backdrop or to stream light across the subject. It has 4 stars rather than 5 as it leaks light more than I would like.

Just OK, and I generally really like Flashpoint
This is just OK. Really a 3.5 star item.
Had to modify the quick-release wire right out of the box.
The nuts for the ends of the pressure screws are not the same thread as the screws.
The slot holders for the gels/honeycomb were way too loose. Had to bend them in.
The door hinges are fairly weak. Looks like they'll need crimped after a few shoots to keep the flaps in position.
The honeycomb is nice.
Gels seem decent.
The entire unit is pretty light.
Should you have to make repairs to an inexpensive piece of kit? Maybe so.
For the money, (on sale) I'd say it is worth it. Barely.

Didn't fit my 7" reflector well
it is a good product but please note that you will need a reflector in order to use this on your ad600pro. i bought it for use with my 7" reflector and even though they say it's universal it didn't fit quite well even with the screws fully screwed in to support it. it kept falling off especially when i put the gels on it.it will do better with any size reflector larger than 7"

Barn Door kit.
This kit works okay. Not crazy about how it attaches to the reflector, but it works good. Would have preferred one specifically for a 7" reflector rather than a universal, but this was all I found in my price range. Am a little disappointed that one of the inserts was a frosted diffuser instead of a green gel.

good and Functional
I basically ordered these because Bowens went out of business a couple of years ago. The fit is hardly perfect but functional, and I actually like the design of the quick-release that frees the assembly from the reflector. My gear doesn't travel much, so these are pretty safe from damage in my studio. The colors are basic R/B/Y, but the inclusion of a grid was super nice for the price. I bought two of these and I'd easily buy another.

Good quality overall, enjoy the universal fit.
Very happy with these. I like that they are universal, which was my main reason for buying them over another choice. Also like that they come with different color gels. Though if you want to use a custom color in the supplied gel holders, you'd have to destroy one of the existing gels to replace it with a new gel.

Good Portable Barn Door
Well constructed and easy to use. Part of my "travel studio" equipment as it sets up and collapses easily, The gels are as basic as they come, but get the job done in on-location situations.
