They never let me down in over 50 years of News Photography
I have used Leica from 1957, then an M3. Then I got and M2, so I had 50mm f2 Summicron , and a 35mm f2,then, 90mm f2. I went to the Leica School in N.Y. and I got an M4. Leica gave a M2 motor drive to try. I used them all with the Viewer with the 200,and the 400mm lenses. Not one Golfer could hear the cameras. I have used Leica for years. A standard
The 35 f2 is and, likely, will remain a standard for the Leica M. I've owned this and the previous version (now, my wife's primary lens) for 15 years. It is light but very resiistent to damage and wear, easy to focus and produces sharp images. A metal lens hood should be inckuded for all Leica M lenses, given what Leica charge for them.
