Fast Enough for ProRes
Picked up two of these 256GB V60 cards for use in the Blackmagic Video Assist 4K. At 4k30 in a high motion scene: ProRes 422 HQ - drops frames ProRes 422 - working ProRes 422 LT - working ProRes Proxy - working I don't use the DN codecs in my workflow so won't comment. Somewhat surprised to see no dropped frames in ProRes 422 as the bitrate is ~75MB/s while the sustained write speed for these cards according to the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test is 76MB/s. Works as Advertised
I got these to use with my Panasonic G9 for a mixture of photos and video. These handled 10-bit, 150mbps 4K video without any problems and I haven't had any reliability or data corruption issues despite rewriting the entire cards dozens of times. With my Kingston UHS-II card reader these meet the advertised speed of 250 MB/s when reading large video files and I have been very happy with these cards. I do wish they would write faster during burst shooting, but that's probably a job for V90 ca...
