The monitor looks amazing, but functionally is awful. Works great with a mac, instantly connects, no issues. When trying to use with a pc, it is such a pain. Firstly, you have to buy a hdmi or display port to thunderbolt. Plug it in, nothing. Wire supports input from DP or from the thunderbolt side. Tried 3 wires, nothing. Absolutely no controls on the monitor to wake it up or change settings. No other connection types. Awful experience.

The monitor is as great as they claim, but the main issue with it is that since the very beginning a small portion of the screen flickers when it first received power after a long time.

This Thunderbolt 3 monitor has been hooked up to my old iMac with a thunderbolt 2 port for 8 years, thanks to an adapter. It has always been dependable, great color, sharp contrast, that you can only get in 5D. My pretty monitor, for my video editing.

I bought this monitor about one month ago and love it! It works seamlessly with my MacBook Pro and you can choose to download the app but not really needed. The only thing I would improve is the video camera. Fortunately I have a better camera already so I use it instead of the one built in monitor. Speakers are fine but the screen image quality is excellent! I highly recommend purchasing if you can afford it.

I bought this a few months ago from FB Marketplace, and for the first few months it was great. Picture quality was amazing and overall was very happy. However, more recently there have been a lot of problems with screen flickering. Whenever I'm connected, it will just randomly black out and it's unclear why it's happening. Would love to get some support from LG on a fix here (I believe online there are a lot of other cases of this happening

If you buy this monitor, it's pretty much guaranteed to break on you once you run out of warranty. After a while it just doesn't turn on. I had it repaired twice, after the second time it hadn't even taken 24 hours for it to break again. This is not a single case either, the internet is full of forums of people complaining about issues, how untrustworthy this display is. It's really a shame, because feature-wise it cannot be beaten. But it's all for nothing if it turns into a brick in 2-3 years. I''ll buy a new monitor now, but keep my distance from LG for life.

I've been using the LG 27" 5K for five years and am absolutely delighted with it. The image resolution and coloring are gorgeous. The frame, pedestal, and outlets for peripherals are simple and easy to use. The front facing camera is good, too! The monitor charges my laptop while I work. I couldn't be more pleased.

I won this display in a contest and can not imagine using anything else. I have tried many displays and none compare to this one. The picture is super clear and is perfect for my design work. I also think that I don't get headaches from staring at this one all day. I like the additional USB-C ports on the back. There is only one port for hooking up to the laptop. Normally that is fine but that is the only complaint that I have with this display. The port got loose over time and eventually broke :(. Other than that, hands down the best display I've ever used.

Over 4 years of usage of this display exclusively with MBP I find it extremely problematic. Disconnecting the display was often a cause for a kernel panic and sometimes it would cause a kernel panic while being connected. By now it suffers from burn ins and pinkish shades along the edges. Stand is very weak and wobbly, adjusting monitor's heigh is not pleasant at all. Warranty is very poor being only 1 year. Resolution is display's only advantage. While it lasts.

I bought this about 3 years ago, and it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful product that I own. The elegant exterior, excellent display, and simplicity of usage was magnificent. LG continues to make great products, and I believe this is one of them. After shipping it via my friend's car to another place, the monitor stopped working, so I sent it off the the LG repair center. Hope it gets fixed well and reaches me back in a great condition! The customer service was great, so I have no doubt it will come back in a good shape :)

I bought this monitor 1 year ago, and it completely stopped working. It still powers my Macbook pro, but the monitor won't turn on anymore, just a black screen... I called LG support for help, but they said I'm outside of warranty, and I should go to a repair store to get it fixed, if you look at the repair stores around me (Los Angeles) they're all small local repair stores, and even tho this monitor is still brand new, I would have to pay for the repair myself. A really poor and disappointing experience for what is supposed to be a high quality product.

This ist the most beautiful, crappiest display I have ever owned. I have two of them. Yay. Both of my displays have an intense burn in effect. One got so bad I had it replaced. Now after a few years ? right outside of warranty the other display just died. Black. No way to get it working again. LG apparently just stopped supporting it and will not even consider repairing it. Hey, you already have my money, right? Did I mention the first display now is back to the burn in effect?

The monitor comes with two cables. USB-C and Thunderbolt one. The thunderbolt one does not support DisplayPort, therefore it can't be used with iPad and you have to switch to USB-C cable which ridiculous. Such an expensive device and thunderbolt cable does not support of DisplayPort. Yet, cables fit ports very loose, therefore, if you touch the cable the screen flickers. I end up buying Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) that supports thunderbolt 3, USB Gen 2, DisplayPort, so I can use one cable for everything. I'd love to have one cable in the package, but a good one. I'd pay few more bucks but don't have loose, bad quality cables that will go to rubbish.

This monitor is exactly what I hoped for. It has an exceptionally good picture and fantastic resolution. I am a beginner level production coordinator for a weekly production and this monitor serves me very well. I actually have 2 of them now.

I have 2 of these 5k monitors and the resolution and color are excellent. They also have built in video cameras and microphones that make Zoom calls easy.

I've been happy with the monitor overall. It displays a great image. But I've been having some issues with vertical alignment lately. It's sporadic. It was under warranty when this happened and I've reported it. They emailed and said someone would call me but that never happened.

I purchased this monitor for use with a Macbook Pro, but also use it with Windows. The monitor definitely works best with the Macbook, but can work at 4k resolution on Windows as well. The controls for things like brightness don't work on Windows, so it's only acceptable for use as a backup monitor with Windows. I wouldn't purchase it for a Windows-only setup. For the Mac it is very solid. Everything connects and works nicely and it handles the native Mac brightness and volume controls. The speakers and built-in webcam aren't anything special, but are definitely solid and will handle regular computer beeps and boops quite well, along with dialog for video calls. You don't get much from built-in speakers in general, but these are a solid offering for the category. The monitor colors and viewing angles are quite good, and 5k is very sharp. Windows is only 4k, which is non-native for this monitor, but it's still pretty sharp due to the high DPI. I'd probably purchase something else for myself in the future since I do also use a Windows computer regularly and this has limited functionality and compatibility on the Windows side. This is great for an all-Mac setup, however.
