I had a shop teacher once who said never buy a cheap tool. You'll hate it every time you use it. There are a ton of cheap LED's on the market that don't have the oomph to get the job done, especially in daylight. I had a client who had the identical lights so I'd used the Litepanel Astra before I bought them. As long as you have a dedicated equipment case to transport them (I put mine in an old anvil case) and you don't drop them on the floor every other day they should last a long time. I've already brought them on half a dozen shoots and I love them. They are fast to set up and dial in when your doing an interview, especially with the battery. I bought two of them and wished I'd bought one more. Buy them, you won't regret it.

I started working in a TV channel and needed couple led lights for outside and inside shoot. Many Broadcast videographers use litepanels and I invest in it as well. I love the light. Power enough for indoor shoot and good for outside for the price.

The industry Standard right here: lightweight, powerful, versatile, and effortless. I've used these things in forests, cliffsides, stadiums, studios, and even trains. Take care of them right and they'll never let up. Always in demand, and always deliver. Pair that with an OEM Anton Bauer Plate and you have a clean setup that doesn't, say, have a d Tap interfere with the yoke's Tie Down, or obstruct AC cables. This plate is TOUGH, and is a STEAL in this set considering they normally go for $150 without an XLR power cable. XLR is strong, but easily repairable, and I can't appreciate that enough.

The astra 6x is a standard on any high end set. The snap box and 40 degree grid accessories are necessary. I bought two of these lights and the litepanels 2 light pelican case. Can fit 2 matthews MERF stands, the modifiers, and even 4 gold mount batteries with a travel charger. Brilliant kit

The Astra is versatile and a major upgrade to the original LitePanel 1x1. Not only is it 6x brighter, but it is more well-designed and constructed. The adjustment knobs control brightness and color smoothly. Placing the battery plate on the yolk makes the fixture more balanced.

These 1x1' s are just fantastic, the output is super strong, light wait, compact but still a true professional piece of gear. What really stood out when first using the Litepanels 6x bi color Astra is its coloring. Super noticeable. Really nice true color accuracy. I Highly recommend this series.

A good bright light that you can actually use on a professional shoot
