SOLID, PERFECT for Astra, or any device that uses 3-pin XLR Power

Actually cheaper to get this bundle than just buying an AB Plate by itself! I?ve used the off-brand plates for years now, but WOW. You just can?t help but notice a startling difference when holding the real thing. The plastic is so much more durable, and the 10a fuse in the D Tap is a welcome addition. 14AWG wire in these plates too, so you know for sure they can withstand any power needs the batteries dish out (this hasn?t been the case with a few off-brands). The quality jump genuinely makes me consider buying only AB plates from now on.

Astra Kit must have

Makes the Astras a very portable and valuable tool in my kit. Makes my setup footprint much smaller as well. Must have for any Astra kit.

Works but expensive for what it is

Function-wise it's 5 stars. Works like it's supposed to. Value wise? Two Stars. Does it really need to cost ($) ? Technically, if you can solder cables, you could get a...cheaper gold mount plate, and the appropriate gauge electrical wire, and connectors, and save yourself a lot of money.

Does the job as advertised to power Astra off of high discharge Anton Bauer batteries

Does the job as advertised to power Astra off of high discharge Anton Bauer batteries. I appreciate the fact that the mount has the battery engaging downward (lift to remove) - the battery plate for the older 1x1 was the reverse, which meant the battery would fall to the ground if you weren't ready for the release or if the battery didn't engage the latch properly. Lost 1 star for being kind of expensive for what it is - but that's typical of Anton Bauer.
