I had Manfrotto 5001B before, and i have to say that Lowel Uni-stand just has everything I was lacking in 5001B. Highly recommended.

I was led to believe this was a strong stable stand, and it turned out to better than expected. No plastic whatsoever, all quality metal (I think aluminum). The loosen/tighten knobs are a bit on the small side and can be a little stiff, but not a huge issue. All in all a great stand that can easily handle a strobe and 60 in umbrella.

This stand came with the Lowel Pro-Light kit. I was surprised by the solid construction and smooth movement of the individual tubes.
