Great bag

This is a great bag. It can hold three of my lenses (55-250, 60, and 10-20 attached), a flash , my camera (canon t3i), filters, tripod, and other gizmos without a problem. The shoulder straps are very comfortable and using the waist strap to sling it around to access the main compartment is both quick and comfortable. If you are moving around a lot and worried about security in crowded areas this is the perfect bag.

Great for the value

I use it to store my gear and carry it around to races and i dont even worry someone will open it and steal something from me. Besides its well built and rain proof. The lower compartments are a bit hard to access and two complete cameras (body+lens) wont fit but is no big deal.

Good For Traveling

This backpack is great for traveling. Just spent 3 weeks traveling through Australia (Sydney to Cairns to Port Douglas to Ayers Rock to Alice Springs to Melbourne). I bought the Flipside version for the security of my equipment. This pack carried my Canon EOS 7D, Canon 70-200mm L IS II lens, Canon 24-70 mm L lens, Tokina 11-16 mm lens and Tamron 28-300 mm lens and camera battery charger through airports, rainforest treks, city sight seeing and desert hiking. Even with the weight of the equipment, I was very comfortable walking and taking photos. I never worried about my equipment being damaged. Dont believe the video of this product that your gear is easily accessible. That is only if you have only a couple of pieces in your pack. Also the lens hoods of these lens did not fit unless you removed them from the lens. Im very pleased with this backpack and just need to be slightly more selective with the equipment I carry while I travel.

Great quality, Holds lots, Missing a few

The Flipside 300 is my go to when I'm not using my LowePro Primus (more room for non-camera gear). The Flipside 300 will hold a Rebel Xsi + grip, EF 100-400mm L, EF 100mm f/2.8, EFS 17-55mm f/2.8, monopod, and filter wallet) but I had to remove the AWKWARDLY shaped accessory bag. Instead I use my more rectangular smaller accessory bag from my LowePro Dryzone. Access to gear (through the 'back' panel) is great if you don't plan to change lenses a lot. A sling style bag might be better if you need that (but the FastPack 300, which offers that has no tripod holder and gets pretty awkward to sling around at the 300 size). I used to love sling bags and realized my gear was getting to heavy to sling around. That said the FLIP-AROUND action on the Flipside 300 (securing the thin waist strap, taking your arms out of the shoulder straps and twisting the bag around) is NOT comfortable. Especially if you're carrying some heavy gear. Instead I wrap the waist straps around the bag in the opposite direction (away from me) and use it to further secure the tripod/monopod. It loses a star for not having an all-weather cover. Granted this bag is NOT designed to take on long hauls over mountains, rivers and fields, but it can rain anywhere. The bag is water resistant, but I carry a thin light waterproof dry bag just in case. The big grab handle on the bag is appreciated as is the water bottle holder (doubles nicely to hold a 430 EX flash). The D ring loops on the shoulder straps are great for quickly attaching camera. I use the Flipside for urban hiking and game/sport shooting. I give the bag 4 stars for it's comfort, durability, security and roominess. If it had the all weather cover I'd give it a 5.

Nice Camera Backpack

This is a great backpack, I just wish I would have gotten a bigger one. It has plenty of room for your camera, lenses, accesories, etc. but not room for anything else.

Not To Big, Not To Small

I wanted a pack that could get me through the days in Walt Disney World. I needed something compact yet protective for the Florida rainy season and the 300 has come through time and time again. I have had the pack a little over a year now and it looks like the day it arrived. I can fit My Canon 30D with the Grip, EF 28-135 w/hood, and eyepiece extender attached. Along with the Canon EF 75-300 w/hood, 72mm and 58mm polarizing filters, FlashTrax FT80 and cables, Hurricane bulb blower, lens cleaning solution and papers, 2 extra batteries and charger, instruction manual, 2 extra compact flash cards, 2 cleaning brushes, My travel tripod and I still have the empty zippered snack compartment inside and the mesh drink pocket on the outside. I do wish it could hold my larger tripod but I might be able to alter it to accommodate. I took the waist strap off as soon as I opened the package. I also added latches to the loops on the shoulder straps to attach my camera allow the weight of the camera to rest on the pack and not on my neck. It fits very comfortably all day and this is coming from a man who has had two lower back surgeries. Pros probably will not like the compact size but most people with a couple of lenses and a few gadgets will be happy.

Not big enough...

I got this to hold my D200 and new 70-200mm f2.8 lens (aka "The Lens"). Also the tripod holder peaked my interest as well and was the reason that I didn't get the slingshot 300 aw. Well, the short story is that the tripod holder is great for a COMPACT tripod and I guess mine is a regular. Also, while this bag holds the camera and lens as advertised, it doesn't hold the rest of my stuff too well. The spaces on the side of the lens is too tight to hold my 18-200mm lens and the spaces on the other side of the lens are really too small for anything. So this case can hold The Lens and my 50mm f1.8, but that's all. So I'm returning this bag and moving up the food chain to the Flipside 400 AW. It claims to hold a regular tripod and is about an 1.5 inches wider so it can hold the rest of my junk. Also, the AW feature is a plus...

Great Product

Well designed and well made, it does everything advertised well. I especially like the security in crowded places of knowing that no one can access the zippers from behind.
