This is my first CF tripod, I find it to be light weight and highly maneuveralble/adjustable. It does seem to not be as stable, rigid or vibration free as my Manfotto 3046 video tripod, but I can overcome the vibration of this CF tripod by using a remote shutter release. And it seems that the vibration is only noticeable when using heavy lenses like my 300mm f2.8 nikkor tele. The weight advantage of the CF vs the aluminum 3046 is well worth it if you have to carry it a long distance to set up your shot as long as you're not planning to use a big tele lens too.
