This is a great small head to mount a smart phone, point and shoot or small mirror less camera. Use it for family photos, botanical photos anything. The RC2 plate is secure and if you have another Manfrotto tripod it will likely interchange.

Not light. Not cheap. But heavy duty and perfect for my giant Canon d5 camera with a big lens. I use it on my big clunky Manfrotto tripod, too.

Retractable adjustment arms seem like a good idea but the one for horizontal is so short that with a Nikon 7200 mounted you can only use fingertips to adjust it. There is a spot where you think adjustment is perfect( horizontal) but when tightened it loosens and slips so readjustment is needed,sometimes several times. I have a similar one I've been using for over 30 years without the retractable arms. It works perfectly still but I had hoped to save some weight. Change is not always for the better.

I had an old 3030 model Bogen head that I love with the exception that handles wouldn't fold up enough to get it in tripod bag. The MH-804 solves the problem with its retractable handle feature. The head is rock solid and supports the weight of a 5DMKII & a 100-400 telescopic lens with no shake at all. I'm very happen with the head and only wish I had upgraded sooner. And, Adorama is the best place to buy with their superior services and competive prices.
