Nice Build Quality

Having a Manfrotto tripod and quick release plate system, this was my next piece I needed for my gear. I was really impressed of the build quality after first opening the box and looking over the product. It was easy to install on the camera body. I have only used it in test shoots so far, but Im very happy with this product.

Couldn't live with out it

The only problem is that with the camera mounted you can't access eith the usb conector or the film cards. I shoot tethered so the choice was easy for me, but it's a choice that has to be made.

Works - Except

It does make it so the camera can be placed on the tripod head in the vertical position. However, the use of Allen screws instead of winged screws makes it difficult assemble and mount the camera. My biggest issue is the fact that no thought was given to the use of accessory connections (USB, HDMI) through the accessory connect door on the side of the camera. The plate that is suppose to keep the camera from rotating on the mount screw is blocks the door. The only way I can use the accessory connection is to mount the camera all the way to the top of the L-Bracket and not use the plate. I use the HDMI output to feed a 24" monitor. The HDMI connector and cable just barely fits between the camera and the bracket. The bracket is usable but the camera can rotate on the mounting screw. The instructions are confusing. Plus, they are so small I had to use a magnifying glass to read them.
