Great, cost-effective cinema prime. Smooth action. Just unsharp enough to enhance any filmic look I'm trying to achieve. Negligible focus breathing and round bokeh. Will be getting more of this series. 10 thumbs up.

This lens is heavy, sturdy, produces great images and pairs perfectly with the BMPCC 4K. @humcrush on YT does an phenomenal review of all of the Meike prime Cine lenses. It really helped me in deciding which one to get first. Go watch that review and come back here to buy the lens. I?m very happy to have Adorama as a go to source for all of the kit I?m looking for. Couldn?t be happier with this purchase.

This is a quality lens and not just for the price. Yes, the price is incredibly low but the quality of this lens matches cine lenses in the $1,200 - $1,500 range. For the money I thought it would be cheap. It is well built with an all metal exterior. The dials are smooth and clickless as they should be. Works great with a follow focus. The numbers on the lens are printed on rather than engraved but I do not see this being a problem especially if you're using a follow focus. It is possible that they may wear off over the years if you are touching them a lot but I really doubt it. Overall I cannot think of any negative to this lens and I am trying. I guess the only thing I could warn you about is that it is a 300° dial radius on the focus. It is a very long throw which some may not like but I actually prefer that and just use a bigger gear on my follow-focus. I wish more manual come lenses glad greater radiuses as it allows for smoother transitions but you do have to be fast. Make sure you select shoot without a lens option in your settings in order to use this lens.

Quality lens, be sure you know what you're doing with and always manual focus.

My first use of this lens the past two weeks is for an evening shoot of a music video and I must say I am very impressed with the low level light performance. Bokeh and flares are very pleasing. Focus is very smooth, and has a long pull (cine lenses) which has really helped the organic feel when moving. I have yet to overstep even when pulling focus myself while operating. Additionally, I was concerned if the aperture would slide (being clickless by design) and it requires a very soft touch to move, but even with gimbal usage, vortex and rotating shots - it never budged. And the footage is looking great.

I absolutely love this lens . At this price point are you getting the greatest cinema lens in the world ? No . But I would be willing to pay $200 more for this lease then the existing cost easily . You get surprisingly sharp images and very controlled focus breathing . The build on this thing is SOLID . It has a long focus throw and is defiantly usable and T2.2. I wish it went lower in T stops for low light but paired with the BMPCC4k you will do alright in those situations for sure .

The Canon RF Mount 25mm T2.2 Manual Focus Cinema Lens is a versatile bright cine prime lens suitable for high-resolution cine cameras. The T2.2 maximum aperture enables working in difficult lighting conditions and offers increased control over depth of field. In harsh lighting conditions, a multilayer coating is also used to reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy. It has a printed focusing scale that aids with prefocusing techniques. This manual focus lens permits working with subjects as close as 9.8" away.
