Experience the superior audio quality with the HV-32P Portable Two Channel Microphone Preamplifier, a must-have for audio professionals and enthusiasts alike. This device features a continuously variable gain control, designed to provide a high gain jump near full clockwise for low-level signals, ensuring optimal sound quality under varying conditions.
The HV-32P is equipped with a DC-coupled ribbon mic that comes with a 10dB gain boost setting, making it ideal for use with any Ribbon or Dynamic mic, such as an SM-57. Please note that mics requiring phantom power will not operate in this mode.
This preamplifier also offers a 14dB Pad that attenuates the input signal after the gain stage, enhancing the overall sound control. It also comes with a 48V phantom power supply, further expanding its compatibility with various microphones.
The HV-32P is powered by a 12V DC, 5 amp, universal voltage (100-240 VAC) line lump power supply, which is included with the unit. It can also be powered by Li-Ion battery packs that produce 14.8V DC and automatically cut off at 12V DC, ensuring the unit's safety and longevity.
For mounting, the HV-32P can be fitted onto a rack tray, with a maximum MidAtlantic screw length of 3/16" (flathead 6-32). Please be cautious not to use a longer screw as it may damage the circuit board.
As with all electronic devices, the HV-32P should not be used near water or in unusually moist environments to prevent damage. It's also crucial to prevent liquids or any other materials from spilling or falling into the unit.
For your safety, the grounding pin of the 3-wire power cable (included with 110 Volt units) should be inserted into a grounding type 3-pin power outlet. If you are unable to insert the plug into an existing outlet, we recommend contacting an electrician to install a properly grounded 3-pin power outlet, preferably one with OFI / CFI protection, if available.
In conclusion, the HV-32P Portable Two Channel Microphone Preamplifier is a versatile and reliable choice for those seeking to enhance their audio recording and broadcasting experiences.
