Does NOT fit an FS7, but great Design

A really cool idea that could have been amazing. Mounting design is very unconventional, but it works superbly for mirrorless cameras. Unfortunately it does NOT fit onto an FS7 because the ND Filters block the necessary clearance.

Great adapter for the price!

Once you carefully figure out how to mount the lens on the adapter and mount to the camera body, works great. NFD lenses are the easiest to attach to the adapter, older FD lenses are a bit tricky to attach, but eventually will mount just fine.

Great quality

A little tricky at first but matched perfectly with both bayonet and breech lock Canon FD lenses.

For the price it is worth a try.

I received the turbo ii and found out that it was defective. My canon FD 50mm F/1.2 could not focus to infinity, and the sony e-mount side of the glass was loose and did not aline to my sony a7rii. Adorama exchanged it and this 2nd turbo ii seem to be working.

I'm really enjoying this brilliant little machine

Ive been using this fine adapter for about a month in concert with a Canon FD 50mm f1.4 (SSC, Breech) lens on a Sony a6000. I have yet to run into a situation that I fell like the lens/turbo combo weren't giving me all the options I've wanted for artistic experimentation coupled with pretty stunning pictures. I don't know from this or that perfection, razor sharp anything or "proper" bokeh-- I just know I get to use a lens that is effectively a 58mm f.1 (with the adjusted crop factor of 1.16 and the extra stop the turbo affords) that cost me all together about 200 dollars, and it captures all the pictures I see (or better). I will caution that there are a few unexplained and nerve-twinging idiosyncrasies to setting the whole thing up and putting it on the camera, but I managed it without breaking anything. And there is one cation I found while researching- some lenses focus the back lens element behind the back of the lens housing when they get towards infinity. If you force it, this can mar the lens and the the glass in the turbo, so be cautious about approaching marked infinity on the lens. I've still been able to focus to infinity, just it happens optically before the marking on the manual lens. Also, sometimes I'm pretty sure the marked distance on the lens is not actually where focus is actually landing, though I haven't gotten to busting out a tape measure and checking that. Also, don't misplace the back cap for this adapter, a normal replacement Sony NEX cap doesn't seem to quite fit the turbo as well as the factory cap. All things said though, I finally get to use the great glass I couldn't afford when I started shooting about 25 years ago, and I really love it- though it is not per se an adapter solution for rushed snapshots or the impatient photographer.

Good but beware

I had a great time with the Turbobooster 2 until I put a 200mm lens on the speed booster and attached it to a nex 7 with a strap on the nex. Well with that setup I did not make it 100 yards into the woods and the Mark 2 split in 2 from the weight. Lens and Turbo hit the rocks. Lens still works with dent, Turbo is junk 3 tiny screws in mount ring pulled out and rectangular element chipped. Adorama says they will replace! I really like this product but beware of larger lenses this unit will not support much weight.

About Mitakon Canon FD Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Turbo Mark II Adapter, 4 Elements/ 4 Groups

Under the innovative design of the Mitakon Canon FD Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Lens Turbo Mark II Adapter, photographers can seamlessly integrate Canon FD lenses with Sony E-Mount APS-C format cameras. This advanced adapter enhances the angle of view by 0.726x and boosts the maximum aperture by 1 f-stop, making it an indispensable tool for capturing stunning images in low-light conditions. The Lens Turbo Mark II is engineered with four meticulously crafted optical elements that condense light from Canon FD full-frame lenses, projecting it onto the APS-C sensor. This process effectively negates the 1.5x crop factor, allowing photographers to achieve full-frame coverage on non-full-frame sensors.

The Mark II version boasts an improved design that delivers sharper images, thanks to its rectangular rear lens positioned closer to the camera's sensor for optimal light transmission. An enhanced lens coating significantly reduces ghosting and flare, while an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens element minimizes aberrations, resulting in clearer, more defined images. Constructed with durable metal and featuring stainless steel mounts, the adapter ensures a secure fit with minimal play between the camera and lens. It comes equipped with both front and rear protective caps for added safety.

This manual adapter does not support electronic communication between the lens and camera, emphasizing its role as a tool for photographers who appreciate the art of manual focus. Compatible with APS-C sized sensors, the Lens Turbo adapters can also be used with Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras, provided the camera is set to Crop Mode to fully utilize the speed booster's capabilities. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or an enthusiast exploring the potential of vintage lenses, the Mitakon Lens Turbo Mark II Adapter opens up a world of creative possibilities.
