Paid premium price hoping it would last longer. Initially worked great. But after just over 1.5 years the battery last 2 hours on an average.

Perfect-fit battery replacement for a 2012 MacBook Air that I'm upgrading because... it's old enough that you still can! Easy install, it took about 5 minutes total & most of that time was unscrewing all the screws from the bottom case.

Battery didn’t come charged so it was difficult to tell if installation was successful.

I purchased this battery in Nov 2018 and have waited a full 2 months before writing this review. This allowed me to fully test the performance of the battery. This battery is rated at 55 Wh capacity which turns to around 7200 mAh @ 7.6V. I have monitored my battery throughout this period and it has cycled for 30 times during these 2 months. My battery came in at 0 cycles and it has 7332 mAh capacity at the beginning. After 30 cycles I still see 7331 mAh capacity. This is great because most of the poorly built batteries lose their capacity very rapidly. It is not the case with NuPower battery. Installation was a breeze. Just unscrew the bottom of Macbook air and unscrew 5 more screws holding original battery. Replace with new battery and put the 5 screws back. Of course plug in the battery cable. And there you are, a fully functional new battery. Now I regularly get 7-8 hours of use out of my 2011 Macbook air. I give 5 stars to this product.

This is my 2nd newer tech battery. The first one only gave me 1 hour after only 275 cycles/2 years old. This one, like the old one, is fine when new but for how long? Great price and it's far better than other cheaper batteries on the internet.
