Extremely bright, clear, and sharp optics for this price point. the eye relief is very good on the 8x32 sets (2) we purchased. The binoculars are easy to use and fairly light weight. the strap is wide and seems well made. The carry case is soft and cushioned with a belt loop. The one complaint I have with these is the lens caps. They do fall off easily like many say here. Nikon should upgrade the caps to stay attached while viewing. I was also impressed with the speed in which they were delivered right before Christmas.

These are the best binoculars I have ever had. It is easy to focus each eye and then use them to quickly find birds. The instructions were excellent. They are not too heavy to carry and are water proof so I do not worry about taking them when I am kayaking and trying to see birds on the water or in the water. But the best thing is that they focus very well and I can see birds clearly.

Being a long time user of Nikon rifle scopes, I ordered these binoculars. They are perfect for me. The 8x is easier to hold steady, the view is bright and undistorted. Very good product especially with the Nikon guarantee.

I?m usually out photographing with long lenses but wanted to start carrying binocs again, so I decided to give these a whirl. I have some eyesight problems and even with glasses they were no problem, just adjust the eye cups and fine focus control is easy. Overall they are perfect, no problems, a slight bit of purple cast into the brighter light but very clear view and easy adjustments. I got 10x because I have a lot of lens experience, maybe a more novice would want 8x.

This is probably the best bang for your buck as far as binoculars are concerned. If you don’t want to break the bank but have a solid set of binos then these are the best choice on the market. I’ve had my fair share of binos and these are by far the best for the money. I’ve got some vortex which are better, but they’re also much more expensive. You don’t get the same dollar per value outta the more expensive stuff. These are super clea! The more expensive binos are clearer of course, but again, it’s not a huge improvement for the extra $$.

I really like these Nikon binoculars. They are lighter and snaller than I thought they would be and have a very smooth focus. I enjoy bird watching, and would recommend them for this hobby. I’ll be trying them out for stargazing in a month. Customer service was courteous and shipping was reasonable.

Being an avid outdoorsman, quality gear is a must. As an outdoor photographer for 30 yrs , Nikon has been the leader in technology from the start for me. These are great binoculars for the price and out perform other brands costing twice as much.

As with all of my products purchase from Nikon….This product follows suit. Images are super crisp and clear, but a little shaky. But I did expect that, I knew it would be a factor with the magnification. I would like to see more secure lens caps. Something that will protect the lenses while hiking, or kayaking. And are easy on & off. The protection caps that come with it tend to get dropped or fall of the straps fairly easy. I would certainly recommend it for nature enthusiasts

I'm going to let you in on a little-known attribute regarding the Prostaff 3 8x42s - for the money, these are an absolute steal! I have had some problems with Prostaff 5s and some expectedly great results from what's dubbed the Prostar 7x50 (for the money they better be good). When they (the 3s) arrived and I, as is my habit, quickly took a gander out a back window, I was quickly impressed with the brightness of the view for starters. It is said that silver alloy coatings (roofs, not Porros, require prismatic coatings) were avoided in the past because of the inherent tarnishing issues; but now, with the noble gas purging techniques that really is a thing of the past. While nothing will compete with dielectric coatings, at times capable of 99.99+% reflectivity, silver at ~95% is rather better than aluminum. I think Nikon also grinds their glass well enough to surpass the standard for the class. Now I use them as my number 1 bin for quick-peak birding or whatever. My advice is that if you're on a strict budget you opt for these as your standard-size choice, as anything even 3 times the money would not be 3 times better. Guaranteed!
