Review Summary

I bought a couple of these cameras used off ebay for a snip. Well used but still take great images if you use a little thought. I use them mainly for reportage, street and people shots. The build quality is super and I love the speed that the camera is able to function. Battery life is great and I always get the pictures I want. As a photojournalist the camera gives me what I need, responsiveness, reliability and great color.

I moved up to a D3 to get higher resolution. I kept it as a backup and then gave it to an old Nikon buddy (We've both owned Photomic ftns and F3s. this was his first digital SLR. He loves it and still uses it

Quick response. Excellent metering. It's all I need in a camera. The exposure always balances the highs and lows and determines the best overall image.
