About Panasonic AG-HPG20 P2 Memory Card Portable Recorder

The Panasonic AG-HPG20 is a portable P2 card recorder and playback device capable of reading DVCPRO, standard DV as well as their new high quality codec, AVC-Intra. Its rugged frame and ability to function on standard Panasonic 12VDC batteries, make it ideal for field recording. The two P2 card slots are hot-swappable and supports resolutions ranging from NTSC or PAL standard definition, all the way up to 1080p.

The AG-HPG20 allows users to monitor, record, downconvert and archive P2 footage, while still having access to Panasonic's intuitive thumbnail viewing interface making P2 solid-state recording both efficient and affordable.

  • Multiple Formats: The AG-HPG20 can play back all Panasonic formats, including DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO HD, as well as the incorporation of AVC-Intra. AVC-Intra records full raster 1920 x 1200 10-bit 4:2:2 footage, making it the highest quality codec Panasonic currently develops.
  • Output Choices: The AG-HPG10 can output footage for viewing through HD/SD-SDI, component or composite signals. Optional up, down, and cross conversion makes viewing high definition footage on any system quick and easy.
