Excellent camera. I wanted the simplicity of an all in one for travel. Very happy with this bridge camera, menu interface, and all the included customization options.

Excellent camera. In some ways, point and shoot, especially after programming the C1-3 settings. Had help from a professional photographer with training. Whether 4K video or simple photographs, quality is excellent, especially when pulling stills from burst/video. Interface is highly user friendly, and I'm fairly new to the sport. You want a good bridge camera, this is it.

Love this camera. A bit heavy but has so many features. Would highly recommend the large 200+ page instruction book to really learn the camera. Macro and zoom are both great.

My last camera, Nikon D90, is 10+ years old and cost $1200 of 2009 dollars. THIS CAMERA IS PHENOMENAL for those amatures who demand more than a Kodak Brownie. Just remember the lens is fixed. Really I do not need to lug a bag full of prime lenses with this Leica 25-400mm zoom...and camera feels right holding it in my hand.

I was surprised by the overall quality of all items, except the "camera bag" is just too small for the camera. The bag is great for lipstick and powder, but I'm male. It does not include a UV filter (62mm). very much needed to protect the lens...so just add it to your order. Some items alone are worth the $82 package price, like the external mike, the LED light, the bracket for side mounted strobe, etc. Also no strobe slave is included.

If you want this camera to take good photos, buy something else. This camera just refuses to take sharp images. I have lots of experience using Nikon DSLRs and Sony mirrorless models, which all shoot great photos. I have seen many other reviews with excellent photos, but my copy of this camera will not match them. I suspect there is a lot of quality problems with the lens, as mine is soft pretty much throughout the range. Very disappointing for a ($) camera. If you want to shoot video, its fantastic. Make sure you read the manual, since it is a complicated machine.

The FZ2500 is the best deal a beginner in videography can have. It really has the best of two worlds. The amazing video quality with the flippy screen makes it easy to vlog and get those low shots. The 20megapixels camera shot really gets you started in photography. And the service I got and advice from Adorama's representative was spot on target about this camera. I would not only recommend the FZ2500 alone but the place where you can get great service with your purchase.

An amazing package deal that "the other NY guys" didn't have. Only little twist is one of the items incuded was was an on-camera LED light that seems to only use Sony batteries, but this is a Lumix camera, not Sony do that wasn't thought about, but still it's a great package and well worth the slightly extra buck!

The camera has every bell and whistle for a reasonable price. I've photographed deer from about 150 feet away just before dark. It was so dark that it was difficult to see, yet I got a good shot of a doe. I'm still learning all that this camera has to offer. I'm looking forward to many years of high quality photos.

The features are very good. Slow and quick motion with the press of a button is very cool. 4k looks great especially scaling down to 1080p. The menu is a lil tedious to get thru. The biggest knock is the amount of noise this camera captures. Definitely not low light worthy even with extra light. Day time does very well. Touch screen is great for focusing.

I love this camera. It is my take along everywhere camera because it is versatile enough to give me countless options without having to carry my DSLRs & multiple lenses. The addition of so many accessories just made this an even better deal. I think the digital charger might just be my favorite accessory! Customer service, shipping, etc. can't say enough positive things about this entire experience.

Don't take this review too seriously, as I did not spend a lot of time checking this camera out. I did try several modes (aperture priority, Auto, etc.) along with taking a few photos at the longest focal length. I was very unimpressed with the IQ compared to my Pentax K-5 for objects photographed at the extreme focal length. All photos were taken under overcast conditions and ISO was adjusted accordingly. Indoor shots were pretty good, until the photos were examined on a large PC monitor. So, my initial impressions were that this camera will not meet my photo expectations. I realize this camera is not as capable as a true DSLR, but I was hoping this would be good enough to replace my current assortment of lenses and reduce my load on hikes and when doing walkabouts. I wasn't that interested in the video, but thought that would be something I could now explore. I did not investigate that aspect, at all, however. I returned the camera after two days.

Easy to use, easy to understand, great results. I love all the options and the results so far are superb.

After owning several Leica brand products in my past, I assumed that the FZ2500 would be the best of all worlds. My first experience with the camera proved differently. Not sure what the issues are, but my pursuit of tack sharp photos left me sour. I've decided to stick to my bulky full frame cameras for now.

I had the fz1000 which has also been a great camera but did not like no touch screen and limited video capabilities. I upgraded to the fz2500 for its 4k video capability and touch screen. I am still learning the many modes, low light capabilities and all of thecameras features. I have no problems with sharp images and focusing so not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. I do have large hands and noticed at first when holding the camera I was moving the manual focus rings without knowing it and had to tap the button to auto focus occasionally. Once i figured out my finger tip was on those rings I have had no issues with focus and sharp quality images.

The camera functions very well. It has many different shooting modes and I am having trouble learning how they all work. Using it on automatic results in very good photos. I try to photograph birds in trees with many branches in the way. The touch focus works well most of the time. I can get good photos as the camera focuses beyond branches that are closer to the camera than the bird I want in focus. However, this doesn't seem to work 100% of the time. I am learning more each day. I plan to use this camera for nature photography, both still photos and videos.

This is well worth the money. It does have a steep learning curve, but the quality so far has been excellent.

I upgraded from the FZ1000, and whilst I appreciate there are some minor drawbacks, in all I have found the FZ2500 to be an amazing upgrade and feature rich piece of kit. Its now become my go to camera of choice, whereas I used to prefer the GH4 and FZ1000.

Disappointing at best. Have owned FZ300 and FZ1000 before and both were great cameras for video and still. the FZ2500 has serious focusing issues..rarely are my videos in focus and sharp if any movement of subject takes place. was not an issue with the 300 or 1000.

I am a professional travel photographer of 30 years experience. As I've gotten older, I've foumd it increasingly difficult to carry around a DSLR and lens set. The 2500 does everything I need in one reasonably-conpact package, both still and video. Image quality is quite acceptable for magazine/book work, but not quite there for fine-art. Like all present-day digital cameras, it requires considerable computer-savvy to master. Unfortunately, and the reason for 2 stars, my camera developed serious, unpredictable, problems six weeks after I bought it. See photo. Neither online tech support nor the Texas service depot were able to find the problem. "Misadjusted: operator error." I took it back and am carefully using it, but not on trips: I don't dare take it overseas. I will probably replace it with another brand.

Excellent camera for indie films on a budget. Lots of professional features. Holds its own against expensive DSLRs.

I am a photographer mainly, but this camera is excels in both photo and video. It is easy to use and the photos look very sharp to me (I know there has been a debate on the superiority of the Sony RX10 III). I do pixel-peep and I am very happy with the photos I took with this camera (can't compare with the Sony, maybe early FZ2500 had a lens alignment issue). It is not that big to me, and it surely beats carrying 3 lenses from different focal lengths. The AF touchscreen and built-in ND filters were the killer functions that I absolutely wanted. It does feel a bit plasticky compared to other bodies I have, but still very solid, and the weight is quite bearable. Overall, I am super happy with this product. Yes I would recommend this gem!

This type of camera is that I need. If I can take a quick picture I can use the automatic mode and If I need make all the manual adjustments I can too.

Such a great camera with so much promise. Video is tack sharp. Still photos, unfortunately, are flat. No punch, no pop, no real sharpness. This is puzzling to me. I am not a novice photographer. I expect to see disappointing photos if there was camera shake, subject movement, or I just did not focus carefully. Unfortunately, no amount of care with automatic or manual focus lets this camera shine as it should. I've had the FZ300 and the FZ1000. Sharpness was never an issue with those cameras. I've tried two FZ2500's and both have been a let down. I'm hoping maybe a firmware update or a recall will give a solution to the problem.

Still waiting to receive part of the package so I can charge both batteries. I bought the camera for traveling when I don't want to carry my heavy pro camera. Since it was advertized to have wi-fi I though it would be great for keeping up with friends/ relatives and facebook while traveling. However I shoot RAW and it will not load to my computer, iPhone or iPad so have to shoot jpegs. The instruction booklet misses a few steps making it confusing so I paid for a more complete instruction book in my iPad which is helping explain some missing steps. The photographs are very detailed and I think I will like it for travel if I ever get the missing charger pieces so I can use it.

It is a good camera if you don't expect it to be a full featured DSLR. It is comfortable to use. Easy to understand. Zoom range is great. I wanted a capable camera for occasions when I didn't expect to need full fame sensor DSLR and all the lenses. It is just that. I wanted 4K video. Another plus. Color depth is less than my full size Nikon. Lens isn't as crisp, either. All said, it is just what I expected. Very happy.

I bought it to replace my very heavy but excellent Canon D 70 with a high quality 75 - 300 zoom, which I didn't want to lug on 3 mile hikes in Patagonia. The camera is easy to use, and fills the same zoom range as my Canon lens. Image quality is often, but not always outstanding. I found that at ISO 400 or higher, noise creeps into enlargements much earlier than it would in my DSLR. Since bird photography often requires such enlargement, this camera did not meet my needs as much as I hoped it would. Video quality is wonderful, but I am mostly a still photographer. Focussing is very fast and accurate; I used mostly the "spot" mode, which generally worked very well for me. There are features, like "continuous focus" that I haven't tried as yet. Another unexpected hitch - the RAW files cannot be opened by Adobe, nor converted to DNG files by Adobe. (unless this has changed recently) They can be opened by "Silky Pix," or by Corel Paint Shop, but since I am used to Adobe, this was inconvenient. At this time I am shooting JPEG only. At about 1200 dollars, a nature photographer might be better served by buying (from Adorama, of course) an entry level DSLR with a 75 - 300 kit lens. While I am pleased with most of the images I got with the FZ 2500, I can't recommend it to still photographers at that price point. Video enthusiasts may feel differently.

Gr8 camera for the money. Where it falls down is.......no 60i with a 100 or 200 megabit rate in MP4 or MOV wrapper. I appreciate the AVCHD 60i but the bit rate is a slim 17 megs. Owners of Ninja Blades would really see the difference with 60i/ 200m or at least 60i/100m in Pro Res or DNXHD. A firm ware update would fix this in short order and your customer base would really explode!
