I ordered this "Excellent Plus" used lens to save a few dollars. I was not expecting what I received. The lens is immaculate. I could not find any blemishes on it anywhere. To me it was more "Near Mint". Adorama did an excellent job of refurbishing the lens. Also, to save a few more bucks, I went with the "Super Saver" free shipping. I ordered the lens on the 1st day of the month and it was delivered to my home, almost 2,500 miles across the country, on the 7th. Adorama had expertly packaged it in multiple layers of bubble wrap and it had its original accessories as well. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. Thank you Adorama!

I purchased this as used at very good price. I was surprised by the build quality of the lens considering the price. Mostly metallic and not entirely plastic. Although it lacks the sharpness of the fast prime, it is a very good lens for casual shooting and video recording. I use it with Lumix G5.

This is a good lens to take out with you if you are shooting mainly outdoors, traveling, or in good light. Doesn't feel any heavier than the kit lens.

I've had this lens for only two weeks now but have managed to use it everyday in a variety of situations from nature, landscapes, an outdoor nighttime concert, close ups and people at a party. It has surpassed my expectations for the price. The zoom operation is smooth and the images I've taken are clear even at low light at higher ISO(1600-3200) on my Panasonic DMC-G5. I've read some complaints about low light performance but it performs like I would expect a lens with a max aperture of f/4.0-5.6 to perform. If low light is your main concern there are plenty of faster lens out there for micro 4/3 if your willing to pay the price. If your looking for a good all around zoom that won't break the bank I'd recommend this one.

I bought am m4/3 camera for it's size and image quality and I have always believed that a camera is only as good as the glass you use! I needed a longer lens for some wildlife photos I wanted to take. Though this lens was not the most expensive of choices it preforms very well and meets my needs! If I was shooting more low light photo's I would want to move up to the 35-100 f/2.8.good glass for the price.

I used this lens on the Panasonic GH3 to film a graduation ceremony. It performed beautifully, was light and easy to use. Is it "professional"? Definitely not, but for DVD/Blu-ray production it performed above my standards.

From the Manufacturer
Panasonic LUMIX G Vario 45-150 mm f/4.0-5.6 ASPH Lens (Black) is a versatile medium zoom range lens designed for the Panasonic LUMIX G series DSLM (mirrorless) cameras and is especially functional when shooting video with your camera. With a 35 mm format equivalency of 90-300 mm, it is a great lens to have for shooting nature, kids at play, street shots and portraits. For its extensive zoom range it comes in a compact, light-weight body that is easily carried and installed on your G series camera.
The lens is comprised of 12 optical elements in 9 groups with one UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens and two aspherical lenses to minimize distortion and heighten sharpness. The seven aperture blades produce smooth, attractive out-of-focus areas and a multi-coated lens element allows light to pass more directly to the sensor, which reduces flaring.
The LUMIX G Vario 45-150 mm includes a stepping motor system which makes the focusing action smoother and almost silent which is ideal when shooting video, as you want the smooth focus transitions and do not want to record a zooming sound on top of your recorded audio. The inner focus system of this lens produces excellent resolution and contrast and utilizes the high-speed, high-precision Contrast Auto Focus system when used with the LUMIX G Micro System line of cameras. Also incorporated into this lens is Panasonic's MEGA O.I.S. which is an optical image stabilizer that neutralizes the effect of camera shake when shooting in low light or with high zoom.
