The rubber liner is wavy. Measuring in between the convex peaks of the wavy liner. There is approximately 8" x 4" of usable space. Measuring the concave you should get close to the manufacture measurements listed. I believe my 1060 case has a small defective area in the plastic. I own 3 other cases this brand and they are all great with no defects. One is 30 years old and functions like new.

I travel the world on a weeklybasis, so good gear is crucial to me. I use these boxes to carry passports, currency, photos, small electronics, folding knives and multi-tools, and anything else I wish to protect from the elements and secure. As I often swim from boat to shore, these watertight boxes are essential for keeping my gear dry, and my swim bag buoyant.

I own a bunch of pelican cases and I'm looking to buy more. They cases are simply the best as far as protection goes. I use the 1060 for remote cases. For the money your not going to find anything better that will protect your gear.

I was last on a canoe trip and used my pelican 1060 to keep my necessities dry. It rained all day and my case was in the bottom of the canoe floating. Everything inside was dry as a bone.
