I use these for events and some outside shooting and they work great. These flash triggers are very user friendly very easy to use. I was trying to decide between these and pocket wizard and i am glad i chose these and the price was great

The Phottix system does things that even Canon's new system cannot..such as zooming the flash from the camera and 2nd curtain sync from off-camera. They do have some limitations though. The control unit does not allow a flash to be mounted on camera and there is no autofocus assist. That said, these things are super reliable. I ditched my Pocket Wizard Plus 2's for these and never regretted it. I am now using them in conjunction with the new Canon 600 flashes...they work just as good with those as with the older flashes, and add some versatility.

I use these with a7D and a pair of 430exII's on outdoor shoots. The best thing about these triggers over the others is the level of control that you get without having to touch your flashes. It's incredibly easy to dial up or down power, zoom, switch to HSS mode, everything short of moving the flash itself. So far the only time these units failed me or missed at all was when the batteries were low. Short of that one time with low batteries, they've been much more consistent than the other triggers I've used including some considered to be the industry standard.

I use the Odin system with a Canon 60d and Promaster 7500 flashes (2) for an ultra light, ultra portable, portrait studio. I have not had any difficulty with the Odin system. Basically, you put the transmitter on your hot-shoe, set the channel, turn on the receiver and set the channel, and they work. The Promaster flashes work as if they were connected to the Canon hot shoe. I am very careful to unload the batteries after a shoot and store the system in the original packaging. I cannot see how this system would fail without misuse or bad batteries.

There is a poor review on this website, so I will add my two cents. The previous review stated that two units suddenly stopped working. I would like to add that it may have been set to the wrong channel, or the batteries on either device were changed while either the RX or TX was on...or some other form of user error. Doing so may cause the link to go from green to orange. I have never had an issue with my units, they work flawlessly, no interference noted or observed. The Phottix Odin system is simply fantastic. The ETTL works great, and the only limitation is 100 meter range, but more than likely you will get more than that b/c I have. I have had no misfires, the system just works and is very reliable. I would highly recommend this product to anyone, professional or hobbyist. Note: I use my units with 580 EX II's.
