Versatile and well made

I own various Profoto lights, but have three Elinchrom Rotalux's; two octa's (53" and 69") and a 35.5 x 43' softbox. They're very fast to set up and produce gorgeous light. I wanted a small soft box and the Profoto 1.3' x 2' RFI seemed like it would be versatile, and it really is. Great for outdoor portraits as a fill, or when used close, as a key. Since it's small, wind does not blow it around much. Produces nice soft and even light with my B1 and B2, and is easy to set up and take down. It is equally at home indoors for a hair or accent light or for small table-top work- as I said, it's really versatile! Really impressed with the RFI speed ring, too. It allows easy rotation of a modifier with no need to tighten or loosen an adjustment screw- since the bolts around the perimeter of the speedring are spring-loaded it keeps the modifier in place, but if you need to rotate it, just grab it and it moves effortlessly- great design. Although I don't use hot lights, it would still good if it had 2 vent doors with velcro closures- you can slip your hand inside and that's helpful for mounting and removing the modifier from the light.
