Profoto softboxes are perfectly crafted, easy to use and extremely versatile. They offer two illumination effects in one tool. When used as traditional softboxes, the light is extremely even and homogeneous with clean highlights, saturated colours and open shadows.

With diffusors removed, these light shaping tools turn into large reflectors with crisp illumination, suitable for portrait and fashion. Heat reasistant material and ventilation openings allow the use of Tungsten and HMI lights.

Profoto softboxes offer a removable internal diffuser that offers additional versatility. With the internal diffuser attached, the light is even; when removed, the illumination is focused in the center of the box with a gradation out to the ends. Also featured as part of the design, is a recessed front diffuser that can be removed to increase the contrast and produce a center-weighed spot effect. The units also have a velcro strip to hold accessories, such as grids, barn doors and louvers.
