Great sound at a fair price
Easy set up and great sound. Battery life so far has been excellent. It is larger than I thought it would be, but not an issue at all. Excellent price.

Not effective over 2 freet
I found this microphone ineffective from anything greater than 2 feet away.
I tried it on both the Fujifilm X-t30 and X-t200 and had the same experience. The Pre-amp can be boosted on the microphone ( by removing the battery and using a magnifying glass and a pin - the switches are that small ) . With the pr-amp set on high and the Fujifilm cameras set to normal , it doesn't improve the sound you can get from the cameras in built microphones from greater than about 2 - 21/2 feet.
If you boost the preamps on the cameras the effective range increases to about 3 feet max , but you get a nasty buzzing sound in your recordings.

Nice sound, excellent pickup
Did a great job out of doors with a "dead cat" for wind while recording birds at a natural reserve pond. I mount it on a separate arm attached to either my Nikon D500 or Z7.

Awesome Microphone
Love this microphone. Best investment I have made. Sadly the show does not fit in the Cam Caddy so save your money, but invest in the microphone. Not much to say except I'm very satisfied

Way better than internal camera mic
I needed an improvement from the internal camera mic, but also something that was better than the cheaper hot shoe microphones. Sometimes those cheaper alternatives can be worse than the internal mic. This was it. This mic is perfect for vlogging because it isolates your voice from all of the surrounding noise. My only complaint would be its size. It is very long, but maybe someone has a need for that. But it looks kinda funny on my vlogging camera, the Canon SL2.

Acoustic Music Recording
I purchased the Rode Microphones VideoMic with Rycote Lyre Suspension System to record live acoustic bands at a Festival. The videos will be used to apply for Grants for future Festivals. I have only recorded a solo artist to date and have been very pleased with the sound quality. I did have to play with the camera's audio controls to ensure the Rode didn't overdrive the sound. Both the banjo and guitar were crisp and clean. So far I am very pleased with this purchase.

Works good. Wish it would have a auto sence turn off. Dont like 9v battery. Wish AA then i could use eneloop batteries rechargable. I got a good price for it. My internal mic stopped working. Instead of paying to fix, this is much better than internal mic anyway.

Great shotgun for hand-held video
Very sharp cardioid for up front dialog or music. Could get the mandolin player next to the bagpipes! Fits my Sony interface tightly. Might need bigger blimp for wind.

Love the service.
This is the first mic i've ever bought. The first item I've ever bought from Adorama actually. Its already my favorite company haha. The process was quick and I recieved my item faster than expected. Better than expected
When using with a dslr this performed much better than the onboard microphone. However it is not a miracle mic, it does not perform as well as the dedicated Omni or directional mic that’s connected to the soundboard.

Great Microphone For Mobile Devices
I don't do much audio recording, but when I do I'm happy to have this amazing microphone in my camera bag. Very easy-to-use and easily mounts to my existing videography equipment. Highly recommend for audio quality and price.

Excellent Quality
Perfect for my needs. Excellent build and audio quality. My only very small gripe is the location of the switch used to adjust the input sensitivity(in the battery compartment). But I would definitely buy it again!

Excellent mic for interview work
Bought the Rode to do in-person interview work, and for taping theater auditions. Seems to be very useful for regulating the sound and simultaneously damping ambient sounds. Would recommend it for work within 10-12 feet, especially.

Great design and awesome sound from Rode Microphone
I was not sure about this new Rode Microphone with Rycote Lyre Suspension but after mounting it on my video RigOne, I was truly amazed by its design and great sound quality. It nice to move your camera rig around and don't hear the sound because of the Rycote Lyre Suspension. Well worth replacing my other microphone system.
