I love the Rokinon line of cinema lenses. I already had the 35mm and 85mm, but since I shoot on a RED Scarlet I do deal with a crop factor. I needed a wider, relatively fast lens. The 14mm made sense. So far it has been great. For a cheaper cine lens I find the build to feel sturdy. There is a nice weight to the lens that I find comforting. It looks great and is well sharp enough. The side markings and lens gears make this a breeze for focus pullers. While I'd LOVE it to be a T1.5 like the other Rokinons I find the 3.1 plenty fast.

I am very happy to say I have found a love for the Rokinon cine lenses. I'm currently working purchasing all of them, but sadly emought I must say the 14mm Rokinon cine is not advertised as a super wide angle , which it is in deed. I just got back from miami shooting the WynWood Walls the lens was so wide it would should more than I was trying to capture. Has a noticeable fisheye effect! But if this is what ur I'm search of, this lens looks great on a full frame camera. Very sharp and very crisp images..

The Rokinon 14mm T3.1 Cine Lens for Canon EF-Mount is optimized for film and video applications. The focus and iris rings feature industry-standard gearing, which provide an interface for use with a follow focus. To aid focus pullers, aperture and focus scales are marked on the side of the lens.
This 14mm lens produces a 115deg., ultra-wide angle-of-view when used with a full-frame or 35mm camera. Hybrid aspherical lenses render sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion and chromatic aberrations and the minimum focus distance is 11.02" from the lens. Some cameras will require that Shutter Lock be disengaged when using this lens.
