What can I say, it works. Using with Sony a6000 for property documentation & property inventory. Also, because of current atmospheric conditions, was able to document severity of wild fire smoke in the Spokane Metropolitan Area in vivid detail. Both before & after views. For all Sony E Mount cameras you must remember to use the "no lens" setting for the lens to be accepted by the camera. The model lens rcvd was more bulky than the pic in the ad, however in our use not a negative. The manual focus & manual aperture works well with the auto camera settings & produced excellent digital pics that permitted large scale prints. Macro pics were surprisingly close & sharp. In our application, an excellent lens for the price. The only disappointment, it doesn't have a cord to plug in for brewing coffee. . . .

I'm loving this lens. I haven't noticed any significant color issues as some have mentioned vs. the Sony fisheye setup. Post editing could probably take care of color leveling preferences. Overall great value for the price!

I have other Rokinon lens. It's good glass. The manual focus rings work smoothly. I started on film so the manual does not bother me. I've only been out with twice. I love shooting cityscapes with it. It really fits my style of being able to get everything in. The removable hood is good it takes a tad less space in my bag. It takes great images. I'm very happy with it.

The Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 HD Fisheye Lens with Removable Hood for Sony gives you a 180deg. view with dramatic, exaggerated perspective when used with an APS-C camera, or a powerful circular image floating in the frame when used with a full frame digital camera or 35mm film camera. With hybrid aspherical elements and multi-layer coating, you will produce sharply defined images with a minimum of flare and ghosting.
The 8mm lens focuses as close as 12" (30.48 cm) from the lens. This version of the 8mm f/3.8 Fisheye lens comes with a removable lens hood that will offer glare reduction and lens protection, but can be removed to offer an increased and unobstructed angle of view when shooting with full frame digital or 35mm cameras.
Note: Rounded image when used with full frame sensors
