Samsung 990 PRO 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe was tested against my Crucial P5 Plus 2TB in identical system conditions (PCIe 4.0 x4, same motherboard, same thermal pad). Sequential read results for the 990 PRO consistently ranged 7,300-7,450 MB/s, while the Crucial P5 Plus averaged 5,000-5,200 MB/s. Write performance showed a similar gap, with the 990 PRO maintaining higher sustained speeds under longer transfer workloads before cache saturation. Random 4K Q1T1 performance and system responsiveness metrics favored the 990 PRO, with noticeably lower latency in OS boot timing, game load sequences, and application launch benchmarks. Sustained throughput during large file transfers (100GB+ mixed data) remained stable on the 990 PRO with minimal degradation, while the Crucial drive showed earlier performance tapering under extended writes. Thermal output remained controlled on both drives with adequate heatsinking, but the 990 PRO maintained more consistent performance under continuous load, indicating stronger efficiency under real-world mixed workloads. It's my most reliable purchase thus far and in the nick of time with this economy.

Best bang for a buck if you think 9100 is too expensive or not compatible with your system. This ssd has great speed and works flawlessly for heavy programs and games. And with 4tb storage, you can save all of the games that you'll probably only play once or even forget you have on your conputer. I have 2 of this 4tb and one of 980 pro and my PC is running smoothly and the ssd stays cool with all programs and games. Highly recommended.

I have it for about 2 years and a half on the performance is excellent, never had any issue with it. it is really fast. I've been using Samsung for years and never let me down.

great product. samsung rarely fails. 2tb is all the extra storage i really need and if I ever need more I'll just get a bigger samsung device. they are reliable and universally compatible with computers of all makes

This is one of the best SSD's you can get for really anything. Its super reliable and the speed is insane. I've never had an issue with one and I have 3 of the 2 TB models. If you can pay the premium I recommend it.

Purchased to put in a PS5 to expand the internal storage. The product fit as specified and was easy to format and start using. Purchased in April of 2023 and has been working flawlessly since. Would recommend to anyone and will purchase again in the future for other devices.

This Samsung NVME ssd is great! The speed were as stated on there stats.My start up time on my laptop was 3 seconds from the time I clicked on the power button to the desktop screen. Shutdown was just about as fast. Really made for quick install of large programs that took seconds and not minutes. I did install the latest firmware and never had an issue with the drive. I always buy Samsung SSD's for their speed and reliability. Never had one fail me. Thank you Samsung ??

I've used the 990 pro for years, and it has reliably stored large amounts of data for my projects. It allows me to quickly save and transfer large files in a timely manner, and its efficient construction means it will continue to do so for years to come.

I purchased this for a gaming laptop and it certainly met expectations. My only regret was not getting the 4gb module instead of the 2gb.im surprised at how quickly I have filled it up. But it has handles the pressure without a hiccup. With thr price jump that has happened since then, it has become cost prohibitive. Speed and throughout have been great, especially while pushing some intense games

Honestly, it's a samsung SSD. Yes you pay a hefty price, but along with that price, you get a lot of great things. Top notch performance you'd expect from a high end storage device. Able to store a lot of games (not all, but quite a few) and load them at speeds faster than anything else out there. Haven't had issues with it. Just make sure you download and run the magician software to update the firmware at least once and you're good to go.

One of the best things I've purchased lately. Gave me more storage and was easy to install. Works well with my PS5 and qick with saving games. No lagging time it's pretty quick and never over heats.

The speed of this was amazing I could tell the difference right away I had so much space left after transferring all my files I don't know how mu old computer even managed the computer no longer gets hot and was very easy to install. Its compatible to my computer just like the website said I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to upgrade at a great price.
