These lenses are head and shoulders above all the other lenses that are print lenses re tooled for cinema. Not the CP or CNE or any other have the quality of the build, the sharpness of image or all the attributes that a cinema lens needs. The barrel turn is silky smooth, you won't find stiffness like in the CP.2 series. Each lens has a formidable macro, great bokeh, breathing, standard outer dimension so you can swing a lens quickly with one matte box..... these are things that need to be effortless in a cinema lens. You can also change from EF to PL mounts so that as your camera body selection changes, you can keep these quality lenses around.

This is a beautiful lens. Coming from Nikon stills glass, I'm used to clear, sharp images but Ill have to say that the sharpness and detail still impressed me. From the moment you get the 25mm Xenon in your hand, you know it's truly a quality build. It feels solid, locks onto my Metabones Nikon to E mount speed booster firmly and feels very solid and secure. The focus ring is buttery smooth with just the right amount of resistance for a smooth pull. I paired it with the 50mm and 100mm and have found excellent color consistency across all three lenses. This is a true cinema lens and definitely worth the extra cash to get the additional width vs the 35mm. The close focus down to 12" is amazing. Just go for it.
