I'm running two sound systems sourced from my computer soundcard. The soundbar has a noticeable latency in reference to my power amp system creating an annoying echo. I tried distributing the systems between the onboard sound and a plug-in soundcard and then use the delay feature on Equalizer APO 1.2.1. While I could play through both cards, it turns out they weren't sufficiently independent so I couldn't isolate one card for delay. What to do. I needed an in-line device with a variable delay to sync the power amp .After an exhaustive on-line search I found few options. I saw this, seemed to be a close fit for solving my dilemma. Though a bit pricey, if it works (rendering sync'd sound) then it will more than pay for itself. Turns out it was an exact fit between the card output and my power amp. No noticeable degradation or signal boost or diminish. According to the Sescom My soundbar was lagging 50 ms. The delay unit will delay up to 300 ms.5 Stars: design, 3 stars: price

The SES-A-V-SYNC is a L/R In-Out audio-video synchronization corrector. Another way to describe it is it is a compact device that corrects audio delays between audio and video. When distributing video over long distances through multiple devices like distribution amplifiers and set top boxes there can sometimes be a noticeable video processing delay which results in audio being played before the video. This also happens when the audio from sources is sent to audio amplifiers over analog lines while the video is send to the display over HDMI or digital lines.
The SES-A-V-SYNC can be manually adjusted so the audio delay can be set from 0-300ms in set increments so you can perfectly synchronize your audio and video. The SES-A-V-SYNC is also sometimes referred to as a "Lip-Sync-Corrector".
